Combs like this for pets that are useful are designed so that the individual pins spin. This feature makes the comb useful in smooth single and textured coats. And THIS model, shown here with a very small dog is a but too big for my Yorkie, I'll keep it as a backup. but it won't be our everyday comb

I like it when trying to comb puppy cause it glides through her coat that can get matted. Puppy hates it (LOL)

It is a large comb. Well built. I bought it for my two medium dogs - it is a bit too large for me (a bit awkward to use on medium dogs 20 lbs dogs) - but it works and I am keeping it. Great value.

Good quality, good grip, very efficient. Just make sure do not brush too hard if you have a long hair dog, might pull on the skin if there is any mats.

Exactly what I was looking for! My Maltese needs to be combed every day. I have arthritis in my hands and need a comfortable handle to get the job done with a minimum of discomfort. Voila! Perfect for both of us! Can't praise this comb enough!

With two different tooth spacings, this comb works very well on both the Golden Retrievers and the cats. I wanted a comb with at handle because I find them much easier to use than a Greyhound comb. I actually bought two combs and gave one away.

I have 2 long-haired miniature dachshunds and this comb works great at getting all their mats out and unwanted undercoating. I would definitely recommend it for small soft coated dogs. They didn't mind it either!
