Camper walls are shallow so needed extension to fit all extra connections and outlet.

I inherited a house built in the 1950s with almost entirely 2-prong outlets. I'm replacing them all with GFCI and USB outlets, which are bigger than the old 2-prongs, so these extenders have been a god-send.

I needed to bring a motion-sensing switch out a little bit as the previous homeowner added rigid insulation to the wall and the switch would be recessed, possible causing a detection issue (plus it looked cheesy). This box extender resolved that issue and actually looks nice! Going to use my additional ones to install some GFCI/USB combo outlets that require a deep box.

I bought these because I purchased ORVIBO touchscreen dimmer switches, and they take up a good bit of space in your wall’s box, and my house is very old and some of the boxes are the original very small boxes that the switch could not fit easily into with the wiring. These extenders provided LOTS of space to easily install the new dimmer switches. I didn’t need 5 when I got them, but maybe in the future I will with more updates, so it wasn’t a bad thing. What I liked best is that they blended well with the white faceplate of my dimmer switches, so they don’t look obtuse or gaudy. I wouldn’t recommend them for anything other than white faceplates, of course.

I was replacing a 20A GFI socket with one that comes with USB connections. It is so deep that with all the connectors, it was impossible to fit into the original box. I tried everything until I came cross this, and it works perfectly. Installation was easy and straight forward. Recommended.

Older home with small metal boxes that were not removable. Therefore, installed this gem to allow space for wires and the new thick GFCI. The GFCI outlet was as wide as the original metal box and would not sit flush. This is made of tough plastic material, easy to install. It slips over regular outlets, but you’ll have to rewire the GFCI after installing the box extender.

I used this on my washer outlet that needed a gfci. I had to cut the front plate to accommodate the new outlet and my metal box was not deep enough because of the wiring coming in the side not back of the box. This worked out perfect.
