Pot showed up in clear plastic with a hole punched in the side. It’s also very thin and lightweight, not as it appears in pictures.

I’m very happy with this large planter. When it arrived I was surprised how heavy it was and it’s taller than I expected, in a good way. It’s high quality and really makes my faux tree look more elevated. I’m using it inside but I wouldn’t hesitate to put it outside either, it’s sturdy and the wind won’t likely knock it down. There is a big drain whole and a plug included.
