I don't have an outrigger and don't often need one.I bought these for those days that I decide to go after kokanee and they do the job. I usually run a heavier or even a braided line down to the diver and then a smaller line after that to the lure. I don't know that this is needed or if it hurts me at all but if something is going to break I'd rather have it be the lure, rather than the whole thing.They're adjustable and you can certainly tell when they're pulling left or right which works out great because I do usually have two of us in the boat when I'm doing this. Being able to just chuck it out there, troll out a bit and then let it do it's thing is nice. No worries about them getting tangled (unless you hook one that wants to go the other way)

I got my order delivered today, it came packed the best I have ever received a package. They took time to pack and tape to perfection. I can not wait to use them to land some fish.
