I just received this Kast King spinning rod and reel combo, really good for the money.. Came in very well packaged I was very impressed. The reel is really smooth and cast a good distance, didn't take it out yet but was using a plug in the back yard. The rod also feels well made very similar to some of my Abu Garcias. Excited to take in out and catch some fish. Excellent value good job Kast King.Definitely makes me feel want to try a bait casting setup from them.

Pleasantly surprised with this combo of the KastKing Brutus Spincast 3000 reel and rod. As an old Zebco guy, I wasn't sure of trying anything else, but with the other KastKing products I have bought in the last few years, I have been extremely pleased with everything I've bought, so why not try this system also. It came well packaged and protected, as usual. The rod is pretty well made for functionality, and a medium action feel. What I really like is the reel itself. It is very smooth, stylish, and the anti-reverse feels good and tight as like on my baitcasters. The line says it is a 10# mono, but it must be the thinnest 10# I've ever seen. Now the little tackle box would not be a reason to buy this setup, but i guess nice to have. I plan on getting into some crappie this year and want to try this setup as my crappie goto.

Very well constructed. KastKing consistently produces the bast value for your buck. I have multiple KastKing setups and this one has the same amazing quality.

PROS: Nice size, light weight, comes fully spooled with line, includes small tackle package with hooks, lures, and weights, well marked florescent end for easy visibility of bites even at a considerable distance from pole mounts, smooth reel action when casting or reeling in, collapsible reel handle and easy plug together fitting for transport or storage. CONS: A little stiff overall depending on what your catching, the bigger the fish, the better the rod action, (somewhat as expected), (order lighter shorter rods for smaller fish). The tackle kit is nice, however, without a test kit it appears one pack of sinker weights may be lead based which is now a "no no" in most states. (everything else included in the kit is magnetic steel based). Overall great value for a smooth working reel and nice rod combination. Good luck!

The packaging was great, well protected. The reel is very smooth, the only thing I may add is some grips to the handle. The action of the rod is completely as described. I love the bright tip of the rod. Seems very durable. The tackle box included is a small plastic box, no dividers, but a nice travel set.
