I just took delivery of my Kawai CN 201 and I love this piano. I am not a great pianist but an enthusiastic learner and this is perfect for my skills. The action in the keyboard is excellent and the tone is wonderful. We researched and tried digital pianos and Kawai kept coming out as the best substitute for my acoustic piano. It is more expensive than comparable digitals but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this Kawai digital pianos.

As I write this, the product has no review. I have a very old Korg digital piano, which I love, but I always shop as if I might buy another. This piano is competently reviewed and presented on Youtube by Merriam Music, somewhere in Canada. They seem to be very reasonable and careful people. To them, this piano fits a particular niche market. It is for a person or a family that has already made piano and piano practice a stable part of life. It has better action than cheaper pianos and so will allow better practice. It has interesting voice sets, but limited voice sets. You can have more sounds than just a few different piano sounds, but you don't get a vast array of interesting sounds, as you might on a Roland. If your son or daughter is plugging away to learn the Chopin etudes or all the Beethoven sonatas, this is sort of a minimal but fully adequate practice piano. If your son is only mildly interested or may have a passing interest in piano, this is huge overkill. If your daughter is not particularly fascinated with piano but likes wild arrays of interesting sounds, you probably want to look at other Kawai offerings or Roland, perhaps. This is a good piano. If I weren't cheap, I'd buy one.
