There are many reviews describing the steps to install the Kawasaki Flexible Drain Hose. My 2023 Gravely ZT HD came with the Kawasaki FR series engine but I've found a couple of tips that may make the job a bit easier. After draining the engine oil completely, you can close the drain valve which keeps any more oil from coming out the drain spigot. That oil drain spigot needs to be removed in order to remove the OEM oil drain valve the engine. (Before removing the OEM oil drain value from the engine, have plenty of shop towels ready. More oil is about to come out.)I've found the my Ryobi oscillating multi-tool works well to remove that drain spigot. The size of the nut to tighten the hose to the engine is 15/16. I fished the flexible hose through the closed end of the wrench to snug everything up. Don't over tighten!

Oil changes on my FR691 has always been a messy pain. The terrible plastic valve that came from the factory began to leak. I found this and so far I'm very happy with it. It stopped the leak and makes it way easier to change the oil. This should of been Installed from the factory. I do wish there was some sort of bracket or something to hold it up when not it use, but nothing a ziptie couldn't fix.

This hose makes changing the engine oil a breeze. I wish kawasaki added it to their engines. Fit perfectly, once I figured out that my exisitng drain plug had two parts to it. I saw a review that it didn't fit. Well, human error there. It fits but you need to know what you're doing.

Seems very high quality nice and thick has good length too. No doubt this will last just as long as the engine it’s connected to have yet to install it but I don’t expect any problems or leaks

Before installing this hose oil changes on my Ariens Ikon52 with Kawasaki engine were a mess. Oil would go everywhere with the silicone hose I was was pressure fitting on, and I had to be really careful to keep as much of the oil as possible off the transmission just below the oil drain port. This hose solves that problem and has enough length to get the draining oil far away from the transmission and into a drain pan. It's a little pricey, but has all the right fittings and is made of a durable material so it won't need replacing for the life of the lawn mower!

Wish I would have done this with my first oil change on this mower. The system that comes standard with the mower is horrible and leaks from the start. Installing this hose set up should be near the first thing you do on the mower and engine. Be sure to get the more expensive one made by Kawasaki to ensure perfect fit. Easy to install and so much easier to change your oil. Make sure you do not over torque the fitting into the engine…. Tight but not over tight.

So after ordering 2 different drainzit hoses and both of them being the wrong size. Either too big or too small. I found that this kawasaki hose fits and works perfect. It is great quality. I replaced that piece of junk oem drain plug with the yellow top that's in my pictures. It started leaking on me after I changed the oil for the first time this spring. Just a really slow drip. I drained all my oil out and did not have to remove the filter to put this on. It's a little tight and hard to get to but with some adjustable wrenches and pliers you can get it on with out having to remove anything but the old drain plug. I DID put about 2 wraps with thread tape from lowes around the new hose. It does come with a o-ring on it but I still used the tape on it. I zip tied it in an upright position so the oil doesn't settle in it causing you to have to put more oil to count for the hose. If you've got a fr691v kawasaki motor I definitely recommend this product. Is gonna make oil changes so so so much easier!!
