The first time this was installed and a disk was inserted, it played properly. But on the attempt to eject the disk, it would not eject. Opening it up, there were two screws missing, and without them they were out of alignment and it could not be corrected. The seller said only that my son should get the appropriate screws and align it himself, offering a 20% refund. But the screws are of an unusual type not available at hardware stores, and the alignment could not be corrected. I have now had a notice that the seller has approved a return.

It literally did not work. I’m pretty sure whoever is selling these is just ripping them out of the PS3 without testing to see if the laser works or not. This is a risk to take, but most likely you’ll be disappointed. Immediately returned.

This fits perfectly on the PS3 Slim 320GB and 160GB for me.Only gave a four-star rating because it is a bit tricky to get one of the ribbon cables underneath to get into the area connected to the board.Highly recommend this product and also use needle nose pliers as a tool when doing the replacement.

Excellent, works great is quite and plays the disks as is needed. The torx nut screw holes on the end where a tiny bit different than the old one that was in there. The old one they are flat at the end but we were able to still fit it. Just move it a little and no problem. Thanks
