I've been lookin at this item for quite some time and I currently have my tablet mounted to the stock rack w/ the cupholders that this unit replaces. The RAM mount I have has a dock w/ the power included for my samsung tablet, but that is starting to fail, which is why I got this. This item replaces the 2 cup holders and gives you a table mount and another glove compartment. It's plastic, kind of rigid, and I'm not convinced that the tablet won't come flying out of there during rigorous trail rides.I like the clean look of this when it is installed, and I like the tablet mounted lower compared to the ram mount setup I currently have, but it doesn't seem like it would keep my tablet secure enough, and I would have to run power from the 12v accessory plug to keep it charged.So I'm kind of on the fence with this one as it has definitely pros and cons

Not sure how well this would work, because you have to remove the radio/nav system to install this. Would not recommend for new XP1000 models.
