Purchased 28 to 48". This rod is a wee bit flimsy BUT maybe that's because I have it stretched to it's max length! (using it at 47" length) It's holding no problem, the rubber ends don't slip. I have a sheer curtain on it as it's being used for a cafe style curtain. I say it's sturdy enough to hold a heavier curtain but remember it does dip a bit in the center if would have it stretched to the max length.

Just asked described. Good quality for the price. I used it to hang a very short curtain over the window on my garage entry door so people couldn’t see inside the garage. Works as expected.

Will be returning. Cheap quality for a cheap price. May work for some situations, but I feel like it will break easily for our needs.

Aunque es pequeño esperaba que fuera más resistente y no lo es, se comenzó a abrir de la parte media y el mecanismo interno se siente apretado

I have been using these for nearly a year and I like them a lot. I got them to hang curtains in my hallway to block guests off from bedroom and basement access spaces during parties. I use very long but very light weight curtains in these areas. I use one in my bedroom doorframe so I can have the door open for my dog to go out in the house, but still have it blocked off for privacy or heat. That one falls way more often as the curtain is heavy and sometimes I'm rushing out the door. It doesn't fall on its own from the weight of the curtain, but I think the curtain weight contributes to it's fall when I step or tank on it. I'd say it's fallen about 10 times in the past year. Most of them were from my partner who doesn't always notice fragile things and his two insane dogs coming over and jumping on it.The tall curtains have only called a few times (when I step on the or manipulate them too much) which is good because I have to get on a ladder to put those back up.These are a great alternative to installing hardwear and a rod.

I bought this rod and black curtain rings for some lightweight cafe curtains that I quickly made on my serger. The curtains are about the weight of two linen dish towels. They cover the bottom half of my square kitchen window so that light can fully be let in on the top. I don't like the rods that only twist to expand (which is what I mostly see sold in stores) because you have to twist it exactly the right width to get it to fit and not fall down. This rod was perfect. It twists to expand and it also has a spring tension which made it easier for me to fit it into place. Thanks for offering this product!

The product shipped all right and was not bent when I received it. It feels a bit flimsy, hence the four stars, but overall it's good for the price point. I was almost able to install it only using my non-dominant hand, since my dominant arm was broken at the time of install - had to get help from my fiancé only because I was too short!I used it for some light curtains in my kitchen window, and it has held up well even after a couple of months.

I feel doubly cheated -- price-wise and product-wise. The product specification says the rod measures 1.5 cm (dia) but the item I received is only about 1 cm in diameter. So, when tension is a bit increased to tight-fit about 36", the rod tends to bend. I find others too reporting the rod being thin. I advise everyone to avoid this supply route.https://www.amazon.in/Kenney-Spring-Window-Curtain-48-Inch/dp/B009U20JSC/ref=sr_1_16?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1510589546&sr=1-16&keywords=spring+tension+curtain+rod

I bought rods like this from two different companies and I love them both. These ones are perfect for my 80 cm wide windows, but your curtains have to be light, ok? Mine are opaque, but very very light so the rods stay perfectly in place. I underline this fact after having read many reviews and the conclusion was buy a rod in function of your curtains dimensions, of course, but above all your curtains' weight, logical, no? They are very easy to settle, juts like the rods showers if you know this system. You just have to turn them like you would do with a screw until they stay perfectly in place being in tension between the window support or wall, etc.Very easy. I put them in place more than one month ago and they have not moved at all.

Update 2-29-2020Almost 4 years. That's how long it lasted, hanging without being touched at all. The spring apparently took early retirement. So off, to find something that will last. Bumped it down by 1 star. I still think I was generous with the 3 star originally.Yes, they're functional. They should be used, carefully, in places where they will only be used to hang light curtains that won't be opened or closed. I have such a place but 1 still bent simply trying to install it. It still works, but I won't expect to be able to take it down without it bending to a point it will need to be replaced. The space is 42" so it is expanded pretty far out so it's weaker in the middle. I can't imagine trying to use it for anything wider, certainly not 48". They appeared inexpensive, but once I saw and installed them, I'd have been happier at about half the cost, and would have expected to start looking for something better. In hind sight, this is a case where I wish I would have seen them in person so I could have walked away and looked for a better solution.

This is flimsy and poorly constructed for the price tag. It was able to hold up a 36' black out curtain but barely extended to that length and was noticeably weaker when extended to 36' to fit the width of my window. The blackout curtain was very light, also the cheapest Amazon could provide, so it was disappointing that this curtain rod did not hold up. By day two it was beginning to bend in the center and by the third day it was too bent to hold itself in the window with tension and fell down about every thirty minutes. I tried to duct tape it to stay in the window opening but then it fell apart from the center and I just gave up on making it work.I went to Lowe's and bought a MUCH better one for less than five dollars that I have used for a month with no issues. I recommend that route for people who need this to actually hold up a curtain.

These are cheap and cheaply made, but pretty handy. I have one in the shower and it's starting to rust a bit... not a big deal since it's spent a few months in a steamy bathroom. Holds the shower curtain fine, though the curtain rings get stuck on the seam where one rod fits into the other. One under sink is supposed to hold up spray bottles but is starting to buckle in the middle... not sturdy enough to hold the weight, but that's not what it was designed for so I can't really fault it too much. Last one is a secondary security measure on a window: It fits perfectly in the track, making it impossible to open the window, which is what we were going for.
