Quality is fine, wish I would hope for since it's simply a metal tongue depressor. I purchased these two level off several pavers. Please didn't do any more for me than the old screwdrivers I opted to sacrifice for this task. They didn't fit between many of our pavers so I had to remove up to a few surrounding stones to get to the ones I needed to fix. I've decided I'm going to try to add a very slight arc to about 1/3 of each blade from the end and hammer the hook to give it a slight offset as well. I'm hoping, for the stones these fit between, that this will allow me to get just enough of a bite under a stone to ease lifting it out. As purchased, I use the blades to get just enough stone up to grab with my fingers and use a coordinated rocking movement with hands and tool to lift stones out. I'm getting by with this approach but it takes quite a bit of hand strength.

The design of this tool very functional for the rounded and less thick bricks. I have non grouted standard bricks in my backyard that needed to be cleaned. Some of them were impossible to clean so I wanted to flip them and use the cleaner side. I needed a better tool than two screwdrivers to lift the standard brick out of its setting. This tool was a bit too thick to get between the brick, so I returned them. If my brick were not as high the tool might have worked. I gave them a four star because they would work for the newer bricks, mine are about twenty years old. Hope this info helps with your project.

I was surprised how expensive these very simple tools were, but they are top quality. They are very helpful in pulling up pavers but I suggest also having a wonder bar handy. They are also useful in scraping dirt off pavers, and scraping between pavers. My pavers were very tightly packed together and quite a challenge to remove, especially the first one.

Normal Pavers have very thin (~1/32”) ridges on all sides which hold them apart only ~1/16” to allow very fine “Paver Sand” to fill the space between them. Additionally, pavers are radiused on all top edges, leaving the flat sides (which must be gripped to pull them) roughly 1/4” below the top surface. (See photos)These “Pullers” are 1/8” thick which prevents them from fitting in the small gaps between pavers. This fact makes them completely useless to “cleaning” gaps between pavers as advertised. Finally, the business end of them, are stamped (NOT GROUND) leaving the teeth rounded and incapable of gripping the sides of a paver (See photos). The ends, do appear to be “Case Hardened” making them essentially impossible to file. However, IF you have a grinder with a silicon carbide wheel they can be improved.Overall, the concept is good, unfortunately VERY poorly executed. This product was certainly never “Field Tested” to confirm actual usability. I am VERY disappointed and annoyed that I spent $29 on a completely useless product!

On of our pavers began to tilt around the edge of the pool resulting from the sand base not being compacted we in this area. I was until to utilize the paver puller on this paver, however, I found one one row over that had sufficient space on the sides in which to insert the paver pullers. With very little effort I was able to move the paver up high enough to grasp with my hand and pull the paver all the way out. I pulled out pavers working my way to the problem paver. Installed sand to fill the void, leveled the sand and reinstalled the problem paver which was now level with those around it. Filled in the other pavers that were pulled and the final result was the all pavers are now level with the edge of the pool.
