The stock sidestand on the Grom is trash. It's like a tube that they just flattened on the end. It might work on the firmest asphalt but that thing isn't going to work in the dirt, mud, gravel is a pain, and I even worry in the hot sun. Putting something simple like this on the end is simple. You just need a friend to sit on your bike and hold it upright while you install the foot. It took 5 minutes tops.

This fits my 2023 Honda Grom just fine. Where I live it gets hot enough to even a Grom weighs enough for it to kickstand to sink into asphalt during the summer.
