Everyone should have one of these for each vehicle you own. not only do these save you from a battery drain if you've developed a unknown short. it's a perfect thing to keep the thief's away. not to mention you can look and see how many volts you're battery is producing.why wouldn't you want one?

I got this to replace another one that failed on me, so I knew what to expect. I had to make some modifications and get a couple parts from my local auto parts store to complete the installation due to how my battery is configured. Your results may vary, but in the end it works as advertised. There is one thing about this kit that I did not like. The keychain remotes did not come programmed and they don't include instructions on how to program them. It is easy enough to do and you can search the internet or Amazon for how to do it, but I am removing a star for that. The device this replaced came with 2 pre-programmed remotes and had options you could change via dip switches in side the case. This one does not seem to come with that same level of flexibility, however I found it easer to install because of the way the red wire is setup. This doesn't come with any fusing for protection or anything, so I highly recommend splicing a fuse in series with the red wire to be safe. Note that the switching happens with the negative battery side, so you don't need to do anything there. It gives an accurate readout of the battery voltage on the display and it is very clear to see. For automotive uses, you likely won't see the display unless there is a problem that requires opening the hood. The range on the remotes is sufficient and you have to be intentional about pressing the buttons, which is good. You don't want to accidently active the buttons. Overall, it has been working reliably for a few weeks and seems to be good quality. If I could change anything, it would be the remotes not coming programmed and add a fuse/breaker for peace of mind. It is more compact that other units and the case is made of a tougher plastic than my other one. I can recommend this product. I installed it on a truck that often sits so that the battery will be ready when I need without leaving on a trickle charger 24/7. It seems to work well for that sort of thing. I have no doubt that it would work even better for other uses.

I used this on my old pickup that is now a backup vehicle and seldom used. This solves the problem with the parasitic drain that kills the battery after about a week.

My door got broke on my van and it wouldn’t shut all the way so my lights won’t turn off in my van. My battery kept going dead, which made it really difficult to drive my vehicle. I found this online and installed it now all I have to do is click a button to turn my battery off and click it again to turn it back on in the morning when I’m ready to drive it. Definitely saved me a ton of money. I would definitely recommend.

First Impression:The kill switch arrived well-packaged and felt surprisingly robust. It's a bit bulky, but that's to be expected for a device that effectively cuts off all electrical power to your vehicle.Pros: * Effective Theft Deterrent: This kill switch adds a significant layer of security, making it much harder for thieves to steal your vehicle. * Remote Control Convenience: The included remote control makes it incredibly easy to activate and deactivate the kill switch, providing flexibility and convenience. * Easy Installation: The installation process was straightforward, although some basic electrical knowledge is helpful. * Affordable Peace of Mind: Considering the peace of mind it provides, the price is very reasonable.Cons: * Bulkier Design: The unit itself is somewhat bulky, which may require some creative mounting solutions depending on your vehicle.Overall Thoughts:This kill switch is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their vehicle's security. While it's not foolproof, it significantly deters theft and provides valuable peace of mind.Recommendation:Most definitely! I highly recommend this kill switch to anyone concerned about vehicle theft, especially those who frequently park in less-than-secure locations.I hope this review is helpful!

It works until it doesn't.The whole point if having this is to disconnect the battery before the voltage drops below the threshold to scary the vehicle. On a cold winter morning it failed me at 8.8 volts and wouldn't start my truck without a jumper pack. With a jumper pack connected to the battery side of the circuit, the kill switch would not allow enough current to flow to start the vehicle. I had to connect the jumper pack to the vehicle side of the kill switch, bypassing it completely. I'm not surprised due to the small size of the conducting material.I let it keep 2 stars because it fits the odd battery configuration of a Chevy Colorado
