This step stool feels quite solid. I like that the treads are large, about 13" wide and 8+" deep. It makes them feel very sturdy underfoot balance-wise and they are much more comfortable to stand on for long periods of time compared to a regular ladder with narrow treads.I deducted 1 star because the treads are made of plastic and there is no release button to fold/unfold the ladder. You just grab the edge of the tread and pull. All in all I'm happy with the step stool.

I am reviewing the KINGRACK 2 Step Ladder, Folding Step Stool with Wide Anti-Slip Pedal and Handrails. The step ladder quickly and easily folds out into the open position and easily locks into position. It feels completely sturdy and stable once it is locked into position. It supports large, heavy people easily without wobbling or bending. When you are on the first step, it is easy to grab onto the handrail for extra support. However, I did feel a little unsteady when stepping on the 2nd step since you can no longer reach the handrail when you are standing upright on the 2nd step. If I have a criticism of this product is would be that I would want a solution to that problem: Either I would want the steps to be a big wider and deeper to provide more stability for the feet OR I would want the handrail to be higher so it could be grasped when people are standing with both feet on that 2nd step. The product is easy to fold and unfold and it does feel stable when locked into place, so I think it is a good 2-step ladder that is compact and easy to store when not in use.

This 2-step step stool is fantastic! I only had a normal wooden single-step stool for our entire upstairs and it only added maybe 10-12” of extra height and it just wasn’t enough for anything high up.This step stool is much taller and works flawlessly! This was an absolute must-have for us!The stool is very rugged with good, thick, construction. It easily supports my weight + carry weight which I’ve tested up to maybe 200ish lbs and there were zero issues and no doubt it can support more. I know it says up to 800 lbs, but seriously people, I’d say maybe 300-350 lbs at most, it’s a step stool, don’t risk your safety, haha. The stool locks firmly in place in the deployed state. In the folded up state it doesn’t lock but since it’s so thin it’s easy to lean against a wall or something else and it stays folded up just fine. The product is currently unavailable but was selling for $37.00 when it was in stock. Price-wise / value-wise I think that’s pretty fair and about the cheapest you’ll see for something of this quality and sturdiness. If the product is ever on sale for less than that then it’s a steal and a buy-it-now item. Hopefully it remains at $37.00 when it’s back in stock because it’s a stellar price for the item.Overall this is a solid 5/5. Everything was perfect. Only minor complaint is that it doesn’t lock-up when in the folded-up position but it’s such a minor issue and has no real impact that it’s hardly worth mentioning. Absolutely recommend picking one of these up! A++++++++++++++

I am only 5’2”, so I must climb quite a bit pretty much everywhere. Especially when my 6’3’ husband puts stuff up. So, I have a lot of ladders around the house. This would be my fourth step ladder, and it is taller than all my other ones. It has three steps rather than my other ladders that only have two, so really the only problem I had was remembering there was a third step! That said this is a very well made and sturdy ladder. I had been using it in my kitchen for about two weeks with no problems. Then my husband had to borrow it to hang drywall in a small bathroom that did not have the space for a traditional eight-foot ladder. He weighs about 260 pounds, not including tools, and most of the step ladders we have only support 250 pounds. At first, he didn’t even consider taking one of my ladders for this job until I mentioned this one had a much higher weight rating. It passed his test, and he used it for the job. The steps are very durable plastic and the frame is metal. Folded up it is 45.5” high, 18” across and 2” deep. Open it is 28” wide, 41” tall with the steps at 9” for the first step, 17 ¾” for the second, and 26.5” for the third step.

I ordered this KINGRACK 2 Step Ladder to replace a folding step stool that I've had for years and this one feels like such an upgrade. The steps on this ladder are larger than my old one and I like that they are large enough to comfortably place the majority of my foot on them. With my old step stool, the bottom step was only large enough to accommodate the ball of my foot and I always felt slightly unstable using it.The metal frame on this step stool is heavy duty and the entire step stool has some weight to it, making it feel quite durable and stable. Despite feeling heavy duty, it is comfortable to carry around and I think an elderly person would be able to carry it without a problem. It folds up to a width of a little over 2" and I can easily store this in my laundry room or hall closet when not in use. The steps are made of plastic, but they are thick and have a good non-slip surface tread. When you open the step stool, the top step audibly clicks into place to let you know it's securely positioned. I did have some trouble getting it to unlatch the first 5-10 times I tried closing the stool, but it has loosened up a bit now and doesn't require so much force to close back up.This is a great folding step stool and I would feel safe with everyone from toddlers to seniors using because of how stable and secure it feels. I definitely recommend it!
