The shovel is durable but wish it. Would be a little more narrow

While those who have working fireplaces and wood/pellet stoves, may also have fireplace tool sets, the long handles on those can actually be cumbersome and difficult to use when trying to thoroughly clean an extinguished fire. Long handles are good to keep a safe distance during a fire or with embers still active, but to clear out the firebox a day later, I have found them awkward. This set is effective and easy to firmly grasp to reach into the fireplace/wood stove etc and have the leverage to sweep and scoop. The short and thick handles make the difference and these have those. More bristles on the brush and a larger scooping area on the shovel compared to fireplace tool sets, set these apart. These also look great. So much so, I hate to get them dirty cleaning out ashes.I’ve included photos compared against my fireplace toolset. It’s ideal to have and use both kinds of tool sets.
