This was applied over a range with the vent fan covers proud over the surface and round, not a flat box. This cover doesn’t look the best, as there’s two little mounds below, and then on top of that, the edges are all scalloped as the edge material is pulled less than the centers, due to the height pulling in more material. This can cause the edges to be floppy and move with the wind, leading to an inferior look. This will not be an issue for a flat panel.
