Perfect fit for the PRS SE McCarty. Nicer looking, better feeling gear ratio and so convenient when changing strings.

Reading the reviews helped. Was able to determine if this was the right one for my PRS SE McCarty 594. Solid fit. Shipped on time

I bought these to replace the tuning heads that came with my re-issue of a 1957 Les Paul. They are nice tuning heads and are good quality, but unfortunately, the bushel that come with these were not the same size as the ones that come with my guitar. I was really nervous about removing the old bushel and possibly messing up my neck. I ended up buying a set of Grotoh SD-90’s. The bushels on those were an exact match and the color of the tuning heads was a perfect match. I don’t like how the Klusons have a screw at the end of the tuning peg. I guess that’s nice if you want to change the color later on but for me, I want to maintain the vintage look of my guitar. There are nice tuners, just not the right ones for my guitar.

These dropped right in to my PRS McCarty 594 SE single cut. No modification necessary and it was super easy. Holding up well after a week or so. The lower gear ratio is so nice and smooth, yet solid.

First - please be aware there are two sizes. These are for vintage tuners with the 11/32" or 8.7mm peghead hole. There's another set for modern 25/64" peg hole. I think that difference is why some are upset they "don't fit."I updated a Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Reissue (serial number removed from photo with Photoshop). As much as I like the classic tuners seemed loose and too easy to over adjust when tuning. These were super easy replacements. Remove two screws, pull originals, push new ones in, add two screws.I will note though - the 1960 has double ringed buttons. It shouldn't matter, but if it does, the Klusons have single rings like the 1959. The Gibson Custom Shop had very little room for the bushings, so they were ultra tight. I left them in instead of trying to force them out for the Kluson replacements.

Turned smoothly without any backlash. Easy to tune. A bit costly but worth it.

I got these for an Epi SG. I had the Guyker locking tuners on it but the 15:1 ratio wasn't as stable as the original 18:1 and these new Kluson 19:1 are great. Very stable and easy to dial in. The one thing that some may not like is that they're not visually perfect replacements since they're die-cast, not stamped, like the originals, but that's an improvement in quality.
