That thing is super expensive but it was on special so not much more than the standard one so I decided to treat myself.Wow, that thing is like twice as light as the previous worn chain I had on my bike! And it’s tini coated so it should be a breeze to clean..Great buy! Even comes with the quick link!

.....it will be a win. It's lighter than the oe Campagnolo chain, & the gold quicklink is a nice touch. I'm not a chain breaker & only time will tell regarding the finish.For now it's very nice & has held up to a few hundred miles. Nice bit of being for my old Miyata Team Titanium. It's whisper quiet & indexing was only a turn or two to adjust.

Cleaned new chain to remove oils before waxing. Have taken off about every 400miles or so to clean and apply new wax. Quick link makes it easier to remove. Currently at about 3,300 miles and park tool shows slightly above .5 wear. Starting making noises about 2500 miles. When I start to hear a noise i started to check the wear but it’s still good for more miles. Thought I had purchased identical chain since the previous one has the same name and model but previous chain material showed titanium and this one was steel. Yes the titanium lasted more than 4 times longer. Cost on steel version is about $15 less. Gold X11sl is good chain and value but had I noticed the material l would have paid the extra. Have also purchased a different model for the gravel bike, one more corrosion resistant.

I've purchased a few of these chains one the years, that's what happens when you have multiple bikes all running 11 speed. I've run them on both 1X and 2X drivetrains with no issues.I have a couple of chains for each bike, I'm a bit of a clean freak with my toys and I wan them to last. Depending on conditions I'll clean the chain off the bike about every 2-4 maybe six weeks. So while one chain is soaking is cleaner I can still ride. I also clean the cassette and chainring, I'm all 1X11 now since selling my road bike. One less bike to maintain and the gravel bike makes up for the road bike. and yes I reuse the missing link (knock on wood), I feel that the recommendation to replace it after cleaning is more of a safety thing, KMC trying to stick it to the customer. Maybe the missing link is the weakest link, pun intended. I'm not sure.For the person that claims someone put an 11 speed sticker on a ten speed box, I find that hard to believe, the boxes do not have peel off labels and I feel sure KMC would not do that. Now it may have been done at some third party warehouse, but not at the factory.And mine shift well and are quiet.I think that's about it, they are good chains.

This chain seems more durable than the big boy's chains.Shimano chain installation used a connector link with pin inserts that you broke off the ends after installation. I had several come apart while riding. I think Shimano changed that link.SRAM chains are not very durable.KMC chains have a normal connector link which makes the installation easy. They seen to be reasonably quiet and shift ok. I have been most impressed by the durability. I don't keep mileage records, I just know it has been a noticeably longer time since I replaced a chain.

Absolutely love this chain! Upgraded to a 1x11 and was in the market for a chain. I've typically used either Sram or Shimano chains during maintenance, but figured I'd go for a KMC this time around since they offered a lightweight option at a price I could agree with. I decided to go with this golden color for something a bit different and I am SO glad I did! It looks better in person than the pictures can capture.The chain broke easily where I needed it to for installation and the missing links are simple to pop on and very secure. Make sure you have a set of pliers if you need to remove the link for any reason! The stock oil they use is a bit on the heavy side and collects dirt easily. After a few more rides I will clean and relube with a lighter dry oil.Very happy with this purchase and may be ordering more for my other bikes!

These are great chains that I feel comfortable recommending to any one with a performance bike. They are smooth, shift well, and are durable. My wife and I run these with Dura Ace components and for the price I don't think there is a better chain on the market. These last more than twice as long as the DA chains I had at a fraction of the cost with no noticeable performance difference. My wife had an accident with hers that bent a link at a 90 degree angle rendering the bike unrideable, I bent it back straight with a couple allen wrenches and she was able to ride home. I still can't believe it didn't break. If I wasn't already sold on these I was then. Great product at a fair price.
