Only thing I could use is the air filter the hose doenst have a place to put the sensor in. It’s very difficult to put together and the instructions clear at all.

I installed this product on a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0 V6 automatic transmission. Overall the entire swap was about 45 minutes. The instructions were pretty clear, and the parts were all accounted for. Overall I am satisfied with the installation and fitment. As far as added horsepower and performance I’m still testing it out.

Everything fit well, had to slightly bend the bracket off the alternator to fit to my liking. I took my sweet time installing, and it took maybe 45 minutes. Quality is typical K&N, that’s why this is the 3rd truck I’ve put their intake on. Throttle response is much better and fuel mileage is up slightly. Intake noise isn’t that much louder than stock

Extremely happy with my K&N, I actually felt a increase in power in my lower end Rpms which is exactly where i needed more. The engine flows great now Especially when paired with a Flowmaster or High flow exhaust. Install was very simple and Directions were clear and easy to follow. The hole for my Oxygen Temperature Sensor was a bit to small so i had to widen it a little bit but that was an easy fix. It gave my engine much more of a clean look. Came with nice fasteners and locking nuts. Would highly recommend of you have rhe money and want a good upgrade to your vehicle without major renovations.

I love this thing. I installed this in a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with 94,000 miles. It took about an hour. Everything fit including MAS, temp sending unit and crank case breather tube. The only thing that gave me any problem was getting the hose clamp around the support bracket. The directions, which are detailed and include photos for every step, say to install the new intake tube to the throttle body, then slide the included hose clamp over the support clamp and tighten. I found it easier to remove the support clamp from the alternator, disconnect the tube from the throttle body, get the hose clamp positioned around the bracket, then slide the tube back on the throttle body intake and then install the support bracket back on the alternator bolt. If that sounds confusing, it'll make more sense when you see the directions and components. What I don't understand is how an intake can make the truck sound like I just installed a new cat back exhaust. I'm not kidding. Throttle response is improved, hoping for a little increase is MPG (still on the same tank, so I don't know yet) but to me...just the way it sounds when I get on the gas is worth the price. Everyone that has ridden in the truck since I installed this thing has had the same reaction I did. And at least 3 friends are getting one for their trucks.

would have given it 5 stars but is made out of plastic. rather it be metal. but functions great. maybe feel a little power and feel like the power comes in at a slightly lower rpm, but maybe its all in my mind. the dyno sheet proves it gets about 5 horse and 5 ft lbs of torque, maybe i felt it? but definitly sounds great, especially at wide open throttle and higher rpm. install was cake, took about 30-45min with simple hand tools and easy instructions. had to grab the entire intake and pull up on it a little to bend the provided bracket up a little cause it was hitting the fan a little but just barely. only moved it about a quarter inch, and now it functions perfectly.

Very easy installation, took around 30 minutes; the kit provides a slightly more aggressive sound from under the hood, the throttle response feels a tiny bit sharper, although not a spectacular difference; the best part is that my Avg. fuel economy has improved about 3/4mpg over the last 8 months/7500 miles. 1999 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 3.0L V-6 (flex fuel)
