This set of bolt cutters are heavy duty built to withstand years of service. Their grips are comfortable and the cutting edges are precision machined with tight tolerances. They are made in Germany and are worth every penny. If you want a dependable set of cutters that aren't made in a Chinese slave factory and care about quality this tool is for you.

Knipex's 71 72 460 (~18") small bolt cutter is the best "Barbed Wire" cutter I have ever utilized. Very old barbed wire is typically a real pain to cut/remove from an existing fence row. This tool made it much easier to remove the old wire and I even cut very large/old fencing staples, with ease. The tool has a "Quality Feel" and delivers every time, as designed. I love this tool~!!!

I had to cut about 350 of the special screws made for composite decking and did not know if it would last or not. Anyway it quickly cut through all the screws and it idid not effect the cutting jaw at all. I had one of the handles mounted into the jaws of my vise. Great tool, will probably last for ever?

These bolt cutters are well made and ideal for cutting small diameter rods (5/16" diameter or less). I'm guessing you could cut larger diameter rod depending on the hardness of the metal but if you are looking to cut larger stock on a regular basis I would suggest you look at the larger model. After a number of uses the blades have held up well showing no signs of damage which I have seen in other cheaper products. So far I've been very pleased with this purchase.

These bolt cutters are simply amazing! Knipex has some of the best engineered tools and quality control on the planet. Honestly, these are so pretty I almost don't even want to use them! Lol but when you pick these up you will feel the weight and see the precision engineering and realize you're holding a pair of bolt cutters that is all business. If these do not cut easily whatever it is you're trying to cut, go get yourself a grinder with a cutting wheel, because you're not going to find another pair of cutters the same length as these, that will get the job done better and or easier. If you are in the market for a top-notch pair of midsize bull cutters click the purchase button and look no farther. First off, you won't find a cheaper price then right here, I looked everywhere for a week trust me. And secondly, no one makes a pair of comparable bolt cutters in this class size. Knipex is king. I receive these in three days from the time of order.
