The 40 degree bent nose Snipe Nose Side Cutting Pliers has high loadable, elastic precision points. The comfort grip handles are made of two color dual component material. The half-round, long jaws have serrated gripping surfaces. The cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 61 HRC and will cut medium hard wire maximum diameter 3.2 mm and hard wire with a maximum diameter 2.2 mm.

Not inexpensive, but I am impressed that the serrations align nicely throughout the curved jaws. They mesh beautifully (that's some trick!) and the cutter edges are perfectly aligned when squeezed. Nothing like a well made tool for satisfaction. Very satisfied so far. I got these for fishing out oil strainers and fuel filters in chainsaws and they appear ideal for this use. 1,000s of others uses as well I have no doubt.

I'm not sure these are worth the cost for a casual user, but for someone who uses 'em regularly, the feel and quality are obvious. Since you'll probably have these forever, it's something I can justify.

I purchased several knipex pliers to replace a few older no name pliers. The quality is outstanding and they are very comfortable. They are also very reasonably priced considering the high quality of the pliers. A great example of a well made product and what you would expect from something that has "Made in Germany" stamped on it.
