In some ways this OEM replacement is better than the (20 year old) original — a braided stainless steel casing rather than braided nylon, and an added pivot fitting at the top to reduce the flexing that caused the old one to fail. On the flip side, said fitting seems to reduce the maximum flow a little bit, but still an overall upgrade. Very satisfied.Note that there are two versions of this hose from Kohler, so make sure to get the one that fits your version of the faucet.

Was quite delighted that this hose turned out to be an OEM Kohler brand replacement part. Hopefully, that means that it will last a good long time! The collet connector fit perfectly, no problem whatsoever (although removing the old hose required taking apart the whole kitchen faucet, LOL). After all the drama of the leak and trying to uncouple the old hose, it was nice that this new hose just fit right. I also bought the wrong hose on my first attempt, not realizing that Kohler changed hoses sometime during the years they were making my particular faucet. Be meticulous in reading the product specs, or better yet: get under your sink and put eyes on your faucet parts before you go buying the replacements. Thumbs up.

My wife and I have installed many plumbing related items over the years, and usually they end up being more complicated than we originally thought. So, we were prepared for what seemed to be a simple hose replacement here to be harder than we imagined. We were so pleasantly surprised that this hose replacement went so smoothly! We completed the entire repair in just minutes with no problems at all! We simply turned off the water supply under the sink, pushed up on the old quick connector under the sink where it attaches to the faucet, which in turn pushes up the football shaped white connector. Then, while holding the white connector up, we easily pulled the quick connector from the old hose out. Be prepared for a little water to spill out of the hose at this step. Then inserting the new hose was just as easy and all works flawlessly with no leaks at all! So happy we didn't have to replace the entire faucet!

The collet gave a bit of problems. Otherwise no problem to install.

Difficult to get the old one out. Takes persistence. But this one fit on and works as it should

The hose kit is not difficult to install, but it is also not that easy as the product description said. Think if you want to pay $300 to buy a new Kitchen Sink Faucet with Pullout Spray Spout, this hose kit is a good choice. After spending an hour working on it, the hose was replaced in the position, but not worked like the original one.

My cheap Kohler Simplice 596 that came with my condo started leaking after 5 years of use. (had never experienced this before in my other homes) ended up being the hose. Dont bother going to home depot or any of these types of stores as they most likely wont have it. I was surprised to find out that these are not standard and theres many different types from several companies. Also be very careful when buying online that you're getting the right one, I feel the average person would make a mistake as its quite complicated to find. Anyway luckily I chose the right one as I felt that maybe I hadn't when I ordered due to Kohler's website saying I would need a different model. Got it the next day with Amazon Prime next day shipping ( not having a functioning sink was a nightmare). Installation was pretty quick and easy, hardest part was detaching the old one. This hose however doesnt seem to be magnetic at the head as I need to push the head back up when Im done using it unlike the original.I have to say Kohler's products are absolute garbage. Not sure if they have a higher end line that's better, but between this and my Kohler toilet I've never seen such cheap quality products and would never go with this brand again. Unfortunately it would be too expensive to have someone replace everything, so Im stuck just replacing the parts for now, but if you are buying new avoid the low end Kohler products at all costs!

Thank GOD amazon sells this item – and they offer it with free same day delivery. Our Kohler faucet unexpectedly (of course) sprang a leak on a Saturday evening. I quickly ran to the local hardware store and thought that a standard hose replacement would work – guess what, it doesn’t – Kohler is “special” and they require “special” parts. Searching frantically on every home improvement website (hoping to find it “in store”) we did find this hose on a few specialty websites (and cheaper too) – but when you NEED the kitchen sink to not leak all over the place LIKE RIGHT NOW, having same day/next day shipping is really a HUGE plus. Installation was a breeze, it took longer to clear out the cabinet underneath the sink than it did to remove the old hose and install a new one. Two tips: before detaching the hose from the underside of the sink – make sure you have a bowl or bucket to catch the remaining water left in the line, and to remove the brass fitting end of the hose that is attached underneath the sink you need to really press up firmly on the white plastic “donut”, it does require a little firm pressure. This was easier with the use of a flat tipped screwdriver.

This Kohler sink hose kit is the improved successor model to the original hose on my Kohler kitchen faucet. Kohler improved the hose design in the past few years.First, the new hose design was easier to install than the old hose design.Second and more important, hose now has a swivel joint instead of a straight connection where the hose attaches to the removable hand held sprayer. That is a significant improvement to the original design. With the swivel joint, the handheld sprayer is easier to manipulate and aim than before because the user does not have to sometimes fight the weight and tension of the hose. Plus, the sprayer seats into the faucet body better than before because the the swivel always lets the hose pull straight backward and downward through the faucet body. So now, when the handheld sprayer is slid back into its seat at tip of the faucet body, the sprayer holes always end up facing completely downward. The rigidity of the straight connection on the old hose would sometimes caused the sprayer holes to be twisted at a small outward angle when the handheld sprayer was put back into the faucet body. That used to cause water to spray out a bit to one side (i.e., not directly downward) when the sprayer was seated in the faucet body. Now that problem is solved.

This is a really easy replacement, I did not need any tools to do this and did it for fraction of the price of getting it done by a plumber. My kitchen hose sprung a leak and needed to be replaced. Made an appointment with a plumber and anxiously waited, only to find out when he arrived that he wasn't going to be able to help me that day because the hose needed to be ordered. WTH, I thought these are standard hoses that every sink used... Shows my ignorance. Anyways, he told me it had to be special ordered and it'll cost $65-100 plus shipping, and additional labor for installation. Add that to the original appointment so looking at total of $300+. Instead I got to do this for about $42 with expedited shipping. Got it done in about 5 minutes, just need to play with the "collet" to get the bottom part of the hose off. The faucet head is just hand screwed in. You don't need to be a plumber or a super DIY person to do this, you can get this done in just a few minutes.Ok so I'm happy with the purchase on Amazon, but I must say that the hose does not seem to last long as mine was only a few years old and sprung multiple leaks. I guess it's a 5 star OEM replacement for a 3 star original faucet
