This was the perfect replacement for the original! Easier to install than it was to remove the original!

Like others found, the hose is worthless and kinks easily. The male end is smaller diameter than most, so the old hose can’t be used.

Skeptical at first but once I received it, spot on! Smaller than the original but it fits the top display nut (where the valve cartridge sits) perfectly. Hardware is very nice, everything is OEM. Well done Kohler!

This valve worked perfectly to repair a leak on my ten-year-old Kohler Fairfax widespread faucet. Because Kohler has a lifetime warranty, I initially contacted them for repair parts and they sent me a new cartridge. However, the old valves are constructed so that it's impossible to remove the old cartridge. Save yourself the frustration and trouble and just replace the entire valve. This valve came with instructions and the faucet was repaired in five minutes. The faucet works perfectly again!

This kit ultimately did solve my leaky faucet problem. Having said that, it did take a bit of installation creativity to solve the problem of the abysmally poor quality of the supplied tubing. To limit the likelihood of kinks in the line: Slide the washer onto the underside of the unit and partially screw on the mounting bracket behind the washer in order to get these two parts in place and out of the way. Now, BEFORE doing any mounting of the faucet from under the sink, begin the installation of the tubing. First install the tubing on the new faucet unit, being sure to tighten it sufficiently. Next, get under the sink, and with the new unit dangling freely, connect the other end of the tube to the T-connector. Once both ends of the tubing are attached, carefully curve the tubing to work the faucet up through the hole in the vanity. The key reasoning here is that by allowing the faucet to hang freely while completing the connection of the tubing you avoid the coiling and kinking of the tube while tightening. If you do develop a kink (mine arrived kinked in the package) there is a solution to this problem as well. Using a short length (1.5-2”) of smooth, rigid household material (metal, hard plastic), create a splint to protect the kink. Straighten the hose, place the splint against the inside of the kink, and generously tape the splint to the tube so that it remains secure. After first thinking this crappy tube would scuttle my whole project, my faucet is now working good as new!

1) This valve assembly replaces the "GP77005-rp" instead. The product description is wrong.2) This valve assembly comes with a narrower brass valve body comparing to the original one mounted by a hex nut.3) This valve assembly also comes with a narrower black hose. The product image could be outdated.4) With a narrower brass valve body(#2) and a narrower hose(#3), this valve assembly is much louder when water flows.

Worked very well on an older early 2000s non-ultraglide Coralais widespread faucet. I was worried it wouldn’t fit, but it did fit perfectly. Although Kohler sent the leaking small valves under their lifetime warranty, and even though I put a vinegar soaked towel on the old valve for 5+ days, it was still impossible to remove the valve from the old assembly. I ended up puncturing the copper pipe attached to it in the process, so I had to order this retrofit complete assembly to replace the whole thing. If you don’t have a basin wrench, do yourself a favor and get a good one, because you’ll need all the help you can get to remove the old assembly. I went with a Rigid 2017, and it worked great. It is expensive, and with all the required tools, I ended up paying close to a $100, but it’s better than having to find a plumber during the COVID fiasco. Pictures show the old assembly next to the new one. Thanks for reading and YMMV.

The new faucet works perfectly BUT it is VERY LOUD. I used the Koehler 1131481 faucet to replace a bathroom faucet that had become stuck in the off position; not all at once, it had been coming on gradually over the course of a few weeks. There are three other faucets in the room on twin pedestal sinks that are next to each other. Those three are very quiet when the water flows out, as was the one I replaced before it got stuck. Now those other three are still nice and quiet but the new one is, as I said, VERY LOUD! Unacceptable.

I had leaky faucets in both master bathroom sinks – one hot water (1131481) and one cold (1131482). The original valve assemblies were pretty corroded, so I was unable to remove the cartridge, the remedy that most videos and instruction manuals recommend. It seemed easier to just replace the entire assembly. At first I went through Kohler, manufacturer of the unit. Although they were helpful in recommending parts, their delivery was abysmally slow. After waiting over a week for their delivery, I went ahead and ordered from Amazon, whose price was 25% lower than Kohler's. Both sets of units arrived at the same time and were identical. I ended up using the Amazon units for the repair. Both hot and cold valves have so far worked flawlessly. To the credit of Kohler they reimbursed me for the units they sent. Oddly, they told me to just keep the units since each was under $50. I suspect that these small orders are not worth tracking for them, since most of their business is in working directly with wholesale distributers and retailers.I should add that the design of these units are different than the original ones manufactured 15 or so years ago. The originals do not appear to have a removable cartridge, but of course, this may be due to my assembly being overly corroded. The cylindrical body is narrower, but the original ornamental escutchean screws into the top just fine. Another nice feature is how the assembly is secured on the underside of the sink. Rather than using a single wide-opening nut, as in the original design, the new unit uses a nut/washer/screw combination, which is much easier to install and ensures that the entire assembly is snugly secured.
