I have a door in my kitchen/dining area that exits to outside. Because I am repainting the kitchen and upgrading all nearby hardware, this door will also receive a makeover. I learned a few things about homeowner upgrades since the last time I painted - that NOW IS THE BEST TIME to do what I can to preserve this effort for as long as possible. A kick plate will do exactly that; a simple application that adds a type of insurance to my time, effort, and money invested. As well, I like the look provided by a kick plate. This one is described as black, though I think it is closer to a dark charcoal.
