I purchased a pocket hole jig which I am extremely pleased with, apart from the supplied drill bit. I read about this and purchased my new pocket hole drill bit from Amazon and it was and still is brilliant. Thanks to my purchase the use of my pocket hole jig is 100% better. Thank you amazon

It works well, but be gentle with it, especially as it gets more dull. Avoid drilling in to knots etc... the tip on the first one I had broke after about 40 holes, had to order this replacement which Amazon got to me the next day which was nice.

All I had to do was move the stop collar from my worn out bit and put it on this new one.

Boring and good at it. Bores thousands of holes. Still not very exciting at all. But it’s a great drill bit.

So, I’m making 6 bedside tables for a holiday rental. First booking is soon, so under a bit of time pressure and what do I do? I drop my drill on the floor and bend the bit! There’s no replacement in the whole of NZ, so I turn to Amazon for help and risk buying this imperial equivalent. It arrived promptly and fits my Kreg pocket hole jig just fine.

Exactly what I needed and wanted. Everyone who uses Kreg pocket hole jigs would be wise to also purchase a spare drill bit as Murphy's Law states that whenever you are drilling something (such as in doing pocket holes) Murphy is set free to try and break off the end of the bit while you are drilling the pocket holes. So take heed all you diy'ers, the price of the spare bit is cheap in comparrison to explaining to your kid, or someone else, that the project is on hold while you drop everything and run out and try to find and purchase another bit, while Murphy sits in your workshop and laughs at you and figures out what other kind of problems he can cause you.

My original Kreg bit, now a few years old broke the tip off while drilling a Kreg pocket hole. I had already purchased a knockoff just to have "in case" I used the knockoff for the week or so it took Amazon to ship the new Kreg bit. The knockoff worked fairly well, but when the replacement Kreg bit showed up the knockoff went back into storage. The Kreg bit is much sharper, cuts a cleaner hole. Always good to have a "Plan B"
