Got new bike recently and after long research I decided to go for Evolution mini 5. Lock is very sturdy and also practical and small. Didn’t wanted to buy bigger ones as I like to have on the bike smallest amount of add-ons as possible to keep it light. Yes, you cannot lock the bike on every post possible but you always have around some good fence or something so there is no problem on being “too small”. It is very easy to lock and unlock. Also, lock holder is great, no movements, no noises or anything. You pay one time 50€ for a good lock and you are good to go for a long long time, also most of the bikes stolen are ones with cheap chains. Good luck in cutting this xD

1/No lock is uncuttable. 2/ Litelok is the best on the market. Takes longer/multiple disc to cut thru. 3/ This lock is smaller but 13mm. Also cheaper (depending on price) than ny lock. 4/ Understand situation limit -shorter lock ups. Not meant to leave all day at terminal or on the street. 5/ I think people having problems unlocking b/c key is not inserted all the way in. Also over time use graphite to lubricate when lock gets stuck/sticky. Bike locks cannot beat a grinder. Simple.

What can I say about Kryptonite locks? I’ve been using them for over a decade, and they’ve never let me down. From living in Los Angeles and parking my bike in some less-than-ideal areas to now living in a small seaside town, this lock has consistently kept my bike safe. The Evolution Mini-5 is no exception—it’s compact, sturdy, and gives me peace of mind wherever I park. If you’re looking for a reliable bike lock that stands the test of time, this is it!

These SF crackheads really tried everything to cut open this lock, and yet my scooter remains. 🥱Heavily recommend this lock. 5/5 stars

Solid-feeling U-lock instills confidence. Weather-sealed. Simple operation. Three keys, including one with a light. It's heavy for bicycles, but I use it as a gate lock.

Love how it comes with a mount for the u lock that attaches to the bikes frame. Reasonable price considering peace of mind. I’m capable of locking both the rear tire and frame to the bike rack. Would have loved if it came with something to tie the front tire as well but this works for my commute to the gym.

Needed a more compact lock to secure my bike. Have a late 1980s road bike I use to commute. The Mini 5 comes with a nice mount to affix the lock to the frame and it's not in the way. I can keep this lock on the bike all the time and have it handy for quick stops. However, when I am leaving my bike a while I use 2 U Locks, one which is larger than the Mini 5 that allows locking the bike to a rack.So far the mount has worked out. I had OnGuard U Locks with mounts and those mounts eventually cracked. Kryptonite's mount for this lock appears sturdier.

I hate this lock. This is my third Kryptonite lock in under 10 years, and every one has had the same problem, but this one is worse than all the ones before it. I can't believe I keep buying this junk. I don't intend to buy another one ever. After a few months, or a year, the key stops turning. You can put the key in halfway, and it turns a little, but it won't unlock. It's worse in cold weather. So It's 20F outside, and I just want to go home, but I'm standing there trying to unlock my bike, but I can't. After 5 minutes of fiddling with the key, I finally get it to turn. I wrote to the company, they told me to clean and lubricate the lock every month. They said all locks need to be cleaned and lubricated. No one does that with their car lock or their house lock! And certainly not after only 9 months! This is just garbage. I cleaned and lubricated it, but a few weeks later it starts sticking again. I seriously hate this lock. It's a constant source of frustration, made all the more painful by the $70 price tag. If you ride in cold weather or rain, don't even think about owning this lock. It will disappoint you.

Small enough to be attached inside your frame when you ride. time to time, it's annoying to lock/unlock. You have to pay attention that key is fully introduced in the lock. Looks easy .. but not when you are laking room around your bike to manipulate it.
