About this item

  • [5 PENS SET] It included 5 brush pens(Extra Fine/ Fine/ Medium/ Large/ Medium Brush). Brush pen with an easy-to-hold, rubber grip that is comfortable and prevents slipping. Designed to mimic the look of traditional, bamboo brushes.
  • [BRUSH TIP] Bimoji Fude Pen Fine has a hard brush tip with a fine point. Great for calligraphy practice and drawing, illustrations, and beginners in brush lettering. Create extra-fine, fine, or medium strokes by alternating pressure applied to the tip.
  • [INK] Rich, black, water-based pigment ink is water-resistant after drying. Doesn't smudge when used with alcohol markers or watercolor, as long as it is completely dry.
  • [HOW TO USE] 1)Remove the cap. 2)Put the smallest end of the cap onto the top-end of the pen body. 3)Cap locks into place. By attaching the opposite end of the cap to the pen, the pen body will not get dirtied by ink residue, and you can keep it clean with every use.
  • [NOTE] -Writing may appear faint if done too quickly. Please adjust your writing speed as needed. -Ink flow may be low at first. Try writing a few times.
  • [HISTORY] In 1973, Kuretake developed the "Kuretake Fude Pen" and has since developed various fude (brush) pens since then. The continuous development of brush pen technology over time has been applied to the Bimoji fude pen, making it a go-to, high quality brush pen.

The quality of these brushpens is exactly what I was looking for. This was my real first experience using penbrushes, unlike other ones I have bouth previously, which were too large. They served me well for a lot of drawings and the quality is incredible.

The pens are so easy to use. I did the whiskers on my seal with them. They are in a range of sizes and have a lovely intensity to the black. I’d probably buy the refillable one which would work out more economical in the future.

I bought them at random when I was trying to get into sketching and watercolor. They write very smoothly, don't bleed when painted over with watercolor, and leave a very unique texture that is just what I was looking for. Will absolutely buy again if and when they eventually run dry.

it's an excellent choice for artists and illustrators. The pen's brush tip provides a smooth and precise drawing experience, allowing for fine details and bold strokes alike. The ink flow is consistent, and the pen's ergonomic design ensures comfortable grip during long drawing sessions. Whether you're working on intricate designs or expressive strokes, the Bimoji Brush Pen delivers impressive results.

I really like drawing with these pens because of the variable line widths you can achieve by changing the pressure as you draw. I honestly don't see much difference between the sizes. I can get very fine lines with the thickest brush, but cannot get thick lines using the finest brush. I love that they are waterproof so I can go in with my watercolors almost immediately without the ink running. If I were to purchase these again, I'd only buy the thickest pen. My only complaint about these is that they are kind of "dry" on textured papers meaning they mostly produce lines with skips. I have a cheap wood pulp sketchbook and they do not write well in it. If the paper is smooth like a Strathmore Visions mixed media paper or hot press watercolor paper, they write magnificently.

I bought these for a comics class I’m taking, but I’ve previously bought the Pentel brush pen, so I’m slightly familiar with quality and how to use them. From all five pens, only the largest size has an actual bristle tip. I personally prefer bristle tips, however this one has a tendency to streak when attempting to make larger strokes, which really shouldn’t happen. The second image show a comparison between the Kuretake and my Pentel. (The top stroke is Pentel, bottom stroke Kuretake) While the Pentel has an even, larger stroke, great consistency, and no stray bristles, the Kuretake bristles seperate quite easily and less to the streaky look I mentioned before. It’s also not as pigmented as the Pentel, though it’s barely noticeable. There is also hardly any difference between the weights of the last 2-3 pens. If you’re experienced and can keep steady pressure, you only need the largest one with bristles because you can get virtually any thickness desired - but if that’s the case just buy the Pentel. If you’re not as experienced you only need about 2-3, the large one, the medium, and maybe a small - the small can give you the same thinness as the extra fine pens with very little change in pressure.Other than that, I had no issues with these pens. Again, I’m not that familiar with brush pens, but I would say these are great for practicing certain techniques. The price is great for this pack of five.
