We originally bought 10 of these and they look so nice on the tree we bought 10 more for next year. We use them in conjunction with our string lights. However we don't turn them on all the time, as they are battery operated, but they are nice to have on when the we turn the string lights off. We like the "flicker" effect the best rather than the constant on effect. It gives the tree a more elegant and old fashioned look, and the crystal ball counterweight refracts the lights from the string lights nicely too.
