All components are show quality chrome to give that extra shine. Includes (2) chrome extension plates, (2) chrome counter sunk trim plates, (1) chrome brake rod, (1) hardware kit; suggested tools for installation (not included): T45 Torx wrench, set of American combination wrenches and set of American allen wrenches. The Kuryakyn 9049 chrome forward control extension kit is compatible with Harley-Davidson models: '03-'08 FXDWG and any Dyna's using forward controls; also compatible with: '08-'17 FXDF, '09-'10 FXDFSE or '10-'17 FXDWG if stock exhaust has been removed and replaced with a staggered dual system.

Worked like a champ. Everything fit great and it couldn’t have went smoother. The added leg room makes for a much more comfortable ride. I’d recommend for anyone over 6’ tall I’m at 6-2 and love it!

The brake rod came and the threads were messed up and bent. It looked like someone installed it already.

Part number and amazon stated would fit my ‘01 FXDWG. Thread on end of brake linkage wasn’t right thread. Cut off welded on correct thread. Then linkage was way too long, had to cut several inches from it for it to work. Needed it ASAP or would have sent back

Had to completely modify the brake rod (cut, weld and rethread) to fit my 2000 FXDWG, Not happy. The brake assembly rod was way too long and the thread at the brake pedal end did not match the supplied fitting, had to drill and re-tap the fitting to suit (3/8 x 24TPI UNF) the supplied rod thread.

Very nice quality. On the 2009 Fat Bob the brake linkage could have been a bit longer to engage more thread and the bend angles a bit different. Very close to the factory exhaust. Gear shift side was spot on. 6'1" perfect for me. Instructions and packaging gets three stars. I would recommend this to anyone.

The product itself is fantastic. I have a degenerative hip and these made riding comfortable. The instructions especially the pictures could be easier if the pictures were of a bigger content and maybe an exploding view

If you are 6'2" or longer and looking for more leg relief on your wide glide or forward control dyna this is your salvation. I have a 38" inseam and I was all smiles after installing this forward control extension. I'm pretty picky about fit and finish on mechanical products. The kit was well made, installed easy and looked great after install. Use some blue locktight on the recessed Allen bolts and your good to go. The kit is a little pricey but worth it.

Fairly accurate instructions, chrome plating is good as well as the hardware. Seems fairly stout, been on the bike a little while now and with a sillhouette seat on my FXDWG my long legged 6'2 self is nice and stretched out. I did need to remove my mid control footpeg to make installing the brake rod easier.
