Got 1 of these last year and I loved it, so I picked up 2 more before going on a hiking trip this year. Had one camera on my hip and one on my chest and I loved these because it allowed me to have lens filters on while protecting still protecting the lens! Super easy to use, great product

I was on vacation in Italy one second I had lens cap then I took a photo jumped on a train and then a few minutes later realized my lens cap was gone. Managed to get through my entire vacation boats planes trains busy citys and late nights without scratching my lens because I am a Ninja. When I got home I went to order a new lens cap and Saw this amazing solution. Even fits fat lenses like my Nikon f mount 12-24mm! Love it awesome product. Definitely part of my forever kit.

I bought this lens cover to replace another lens cover that I lost. the former lens cover was discontinued. So when I chose this lens cover, I thought they they were very similar. And they were in terms of size and color. What was very different was that the former lens cover was firmer, making it easier to pull over the lens. The new lens cover is soft, very soft and needs to be put over your lens almost like a stocking. Annoying, but still usable and maybe prevents dust from getting to your lens better than the firmer lens cover. That's why I still rated it with 4 stars.

Two days after I started using this product it ripped. I contacted the manufacture twice and never got a response. It’s supposed to have a lifetime warranty. What a joke! Therefore, I returned it.

I was loosing or dropping my cap covers for my Nikon D750 on my lenses fitted with infrared filters which are generally thicker than the protective filters I used before I converted my camera to full spectrum IR. They fit like a glove over a 77mm filter on a 62mm lens, a 77mm filter on a 62mm lens, as well as smaller filter.Material feels sturdy and is stretchable. Just today I lost my 77mm lens cap. Perfect timing as I picked up my 4 Kuvrd universal lens caps from the PO today. I definitely recommend this product!

Poor fit and doesn’t serve EVen regular lens - it is too small and does not withstand shocks or serve as weather /water proof. Waste of money

This is advertised as a universal lens cap. Yes, almost. The maker of this thing forgot to tell you the dimension of this thing. I measured this cap and found that the diameter and height are 6.5cm and 5.5cm respectively. If your lens diameter is huge with a diameter close to 10cm, then this cap only has about 1cm height when you wrap it onto your lens. If your lens diameter is small enough such as some of those 50mm f/1.8 normal lens, then you could be in big trouble. The first image is a Nikon AF-D 50mm f/1.8, which is smaller than the cap. You do not even have to stretch the cap and the lens simply goes in smoothly (second image). In this case, because the lens can easily go in and out of the cap, what is the supposed "protection"? Moreover, it is not water-proof as shown in one of the maker's video (i.e., the lens with this cap going into water). Rolling the lens with cap on ground as the video shows is a joke because the lens will come out from the cap and dusts go in to the cap easily. Now let us use a larger diameter lens, a Nikon AF-S 24-140mm 1:4G ED VR. The filter size is 77mm and the diameter is larger than 80mm for sure. The 3rd image shows the lens and cap and the 4th one shows the result of wrapping the cap onto the lens. Now look at the 5th image and you will notice that the cap leaves many small gaps between the cap and the lens zoom ring, and, as a result, water and dust can go in easily. In my opinion, that "fit 99% of DSLR Lenses" is a joke. From what I wrote above, for smaller lenses this cap is an open-end pouch and for those larger diameters lenses this cap is incapable of staying in place as the collar would be way too short. I don't know how the seller came up with this 99% number. So, IMO, the best fit lenses may be those with a filter size between 62mm to 77mm.Third, the thickness of this cap is less than 2mm and the material is some sort of soft plastic. I can easily flip the cap inside-outside as shown in the 6th image. Because it is not made from hard material, the protection of the front glass surface is VERY VERY questionable. The 7th image shows that a screw driver is placed on the top of this cap, and just a little force would push the cap in making contact with the front glass surface. What if a strong force hits the front of this cap? I gather the cap could absorb some force due to its soft material, but the front glass will be damaged for sure.Fourth, the material used to make his cap can suck all kind of dusts, fibers, etc. on its surface, and it is rather difficult to remove. This can be seen in all the images included in this review. I took these caps out for just a few minutes and put them on table and/or ground. The inner surface of this cap seems to be a little better but still a dust sucker. A good lens cap should not bring dusts and fibers to the lens. Well, this cap simply does the opposite. In conclusion, the videos shown on the web is not real and should be considered a fake advertisement because (1) the cap could not perform the most fundamental work -- protecting the lens, and (2) the seller failed to reveal the dimension so that if your lens has a not so compatible size you may end up buying this cap as a waste. If you really like this type of lens cap, I would suggest that you visit Lens Cap's site and find a Hoodie that has the right size for your lens. The Lens Coat Hoodie has a hard front to protect the front glass of your precious lens. If you can accept the Hoodies, avoid this cap at all cost. In fact, the Hoodies may be cheaper for certain sizes.DISCLAIMER: I am not an employee of Lens Coat nor working for a competitor of the maker of this cap. I just happen to have many larger diameter lenses each of which is fit with a Lens Coat Hoodie. So, I bought two universal caps to test with some medium size lenses.

I have only had 2 of these for a coupl weeks, so my review is based only on a brief window of experience. The caps seem to work well - they stay on well and seem to create a good seal. They are flimsier than I expected, but they are doing the job so far. Easy on and off. I am not going to drop a lens on purpose to see how well it protects from a fall, so I cannot speak to that. I feel secure with it so far - time will tell. I gave it a “4” on durability because I don’t know yet how these will hold up. Happy so far.
