I wanted a cheap, temporary replacement/upgrade from my "worn out" shocks. The car is 21 years old and bounces a fair bit - I'd heard the GR-2s aren't the best for Saab 900s but at $96 for all four corners shipped, I couldn't pass it by.I should have. After removing the old rear shocks, I tested by hand the stiffness and then compared it with the GR-2s and the originals are actually more resistive! These brand-new GR-2 shocks are softer than worn-out 21 year-old shocks. Never. Again. Save your money and buy something else.

Part fit well and is much better than the broken shock it replaced. But with the stiffer springs on a Saab SPG, it still leaves the ride a little bouncy. If that car was not just a winter beater for me, I would have gone with a more expensive, heavy-duty shock.But the part fit well and went in easily. I think it would be fine on a Saab 900 "S" but was a little too soft for the SPG.

High quality replacement shock. Not as heavy duty as Bilstein but very reasonably priced. Installed GR-2 strut inserts on '96 Saab 900 and the GR-2 shocks on '91 Saab - very pleased with both!
