Needed a replacement for the fun rain gauge holder my son gave me. Made the mistake of leaving it out when the weather changed. When rain froze in it, it cracked. So I found the exact one I needed to replace it! It’s perfect! And I’ll remember to take this one in when the weather changes.

The water meter is easy to set up and the numbers are large enough to see from a distance.

I liked the simplicity of this rain gauge and the fact that the numbers added a bit of flair to the plain plastic. As for accuracy, it's hard to tell. As for reading the rain amount in the gauge, the little blue float helps to see the top of the amount contained. My only complaint with this gauge is that the numbers blend in with anything woody or earthy in the background. They are hard to read in that setting. My fix was to paint them white. Worked great. However, if your gauge would be up against a sky background, I believe the existing number color would be just fine.

I bought this to check rain in my flowerbed. It does the job and I can read it when I’m close, but not from a distance. Also, as others mentioned in the reviews, the little blue tab gets stuck to the inside of the rain gauge and is hard to get in place at the bottom. With that said, I’m happy with this purchase. It’s easy to empty. It does what I need it to do and it didn’t cost a fortune.

Easy to read and looks good in a flower planter. I like being able to either pull the whole assembly out of the dirt or slide the measuring part out for emptying. Only minor complaint is the blue floating indicator square--when I empty water from the gauge, the square does fall out. It's almost impossible to get it to lie flat in the bottom of the measure but that's not a big deal because once some rainwater goes in, it does float on top of the water. I don't think it's a design flaw; there's just no way to make a floating square not float out when pouring out the water!

Good rain gauge! Big numbers and a floating indicator that makes it very easy to read. I mounted it on a stick and put it in a plant because I was being lazy, but you can also install it on a fence post or other surface. Slides out of the mount so you can easily empty it.

Very brittle plastic...as was my last one of another brand. Don’t leave it out if you’re going to have freezing weather!… Worried that a kid might hit with an elbow and break off the mounting bracket It will probably last a year or two just like my last oneUpdate 9/19/18...little floating plastic piece has ceased to float...must be waterlogged 😣👎🏻
