These boots appear to be well made and nice quality. They really look nice on my husband. These type of boots are his secondary footwear to cowboy boots, well and his motorcycle boots. He's a boot man 100%.

Best snake boots or even boots for that matter EVER! VERY comfortable and hold up very well. Waterproof is great! Not too heavy on the feet. Easy slip on and off. Zipper is heavy duty. Husband wears them on the farm for all applications- very versatile!

I was very happy to find that my boots were shipped promptly and I received them early. These boots are the second pair I have purchased in 4 years and they live up to the standards that are advertised. For country living and the abuse a pair of working boots take around rocks, mud, mesquite wood is unbelievable, but let me tell you, LaCrosse 17 inch high boots are well worth the price. I have noticed that there are many boots that are advertised for a lot more money and can not live up to the standards the LaCrosse boots do.

I have a wide foot and big calf muscles. These boots fit snug around my calf but perfectly on my feet.

I loved these boots!!! Until I didn’t. One day I tried to pull my right foot out and I couldn’t get it out at all. The lining inside had broken down and grabbed my heal. Heaven forbid if your claustrophobic!!! This was a little freaks and took a lot of time to get off. I was surprised that inside 9 months the material had broken down. While they are a good boot, justifying getting a new pair every 6-9 months at this price just isn’t reasonable. Also, even if I cut the lining out to get my foot in and out on a regular basis, what has that done to the snake protection aspect of these boots? That barrier I would have to remove is the whole reason for buying them!!!

I usually wear an 11.5 wide so I ordered those originally. Unfortunately, even with thick socks, it felt like I was wearing flip flops so I sent them back an ordered an 11 wide. The 11 wide with normal Nike socks is a still a bit loose. However with thicker socks, the construction ones you can buy at Walmart, it feels very nice. The whole process was a bit annoying but that’s an inevitability of ordering shoes off the internet. On the upside the boot breaks in fast.I got these shoes not specifically for hiking but for camping, fishing, hunting, and bushwhacking. I believe for those purposes it will do very well. If you plan on taking them on 12+ mile hikes they’d probably be uncomfortable however I don’t think they are intended for that. I would also like to add that where I live it’s averaging around 90°f and the boots feel just fine.As for their design the box toe is very nice and the Kevlar looks cool, however it would be better if there were leather around the ankle. Also I should note that the boot is very wide around the calf. So much so that I fashioned a knife to the inside of my boot.Besides the annoying process of finding a boot that fits the only thing I don’t like is that the leather came really scuffed and scratched but if you can put the aesthetics beside it is very functional.Update: not waterproof

I found it difficult to put the boots on and off, but perhaps because the are new it could have something to do with it. May be if they had a zipper on the side like the Rocky Snake Proof boots it could make things easier.Other than that I would say that they appear to be solid enough boots to enable protection from snakes.

Got these on a Friday, and stepped right over a copperhead on Sunday. This is my first pair of boots of any kind, so I was a little nervous buying them site unseen, and never tried on. I ordered the size I order for 90% of my shoe purchases, and it seems to be the perfect size. At first, I was nervous because my heel would slip up slightly when walking, but I read that this is normal for non-lace up boots. I worked in the brush this weekend, and like mentioned earlier, I had just grabbed a large log and began to drag it from the direction I just had walked. Almost invisible in the leaves was a copperhead just still as a statue. I immediately felt so thankful I had just gotten these boots.I wore them for around 4 hours with a lot of walking, pulling, and stomping through greenbriar vines. The inside isn't the most cushioned feeling in the world, but not uncomfortable. In fact, these were more comfortable than my "softer" Muck Boots which had worn a slight blister.
