I purchased this for my African Gray in November 2022 as a travel cage, having been disappointed with the heavier, smaller, square travel cages sold by various companies (those have wire-thin bars that lose their weld... beware!) It's a great value for the price. It's very similar to the wire kennels available for dogs, except there's a floor grate, and single door instead of the two-door design my similarly-sized dog crate has. It folds up and stows just as easily. The cage assembles very quickly; you'll spend more time installing the dish holders than anything, and these are very well-designed. The stainless dishes are sturdy, as well, and just the right size for my Gray.Bar spacing is too wide for smaller birds, for sure, with about a 1 1/8" gap in between. The spacing is wider than her permanent cage, but I'm not worried it will be an issue for my parrot. Your mileage may vary.I'm not entirely confident in the door latch, though it's better than expected. I'd follow the advice of other reviewers and use a small carabiner to "lock" it.The floor tray doesn't seem as flimsy as other reviewers have described, which leads me to believe it's been upgraded. The plastic handle seems sturdy enough, though I placed it a little too far back (didn't account for the weight of the bowls, which I put toward the front). The entire cage and all its accessories arrived in great shape, with only slight warping at the bottom of the door, but nothing to worry about. I can probably bend it back if I felt it was necessary.I recommend getting a soft, rope-type perch for road travel, as it will act as a shock absorber and give the bird something better to hold onto than the wood dowel, which otherwise is just fine. As another reviewer has said, only put lightweight, soft toys in a parrot's travel cage, so they don't get knocked around when in motion—this cage is a great height for hanging decent-sized parrot toys, though, like those recommended for Grays, eclectus, and smaller cockatoos.I'm pleased with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to get another. I've been searching for a travel cage for a long time, and this is the only one I think fits the bill.

It is a good size for my Illiger Macaw (mini) he has room to turn around and play. I did not like how the cage went together, I was not comfortable with how unstable it was so I used zip ties to hold it together. After the zip ties it worked just fine, but took away the storage unless I cut the ties. I used the cage to travel to my daughters and for my bird to hang out in while staying at my daughters. It worked great for what we used it for. My bird doesn't spend much time IN his cage with the door shut and this cage worked great as it fit in the back seat of my car!

I use this cage as my Indian Ringneck's travel cage. It is big enough for temporary living, provided she is out of the cage a few times a day. Her normal cage is very large so we can not move it for weekend trips. It is big enough for a perch and a toy to keep her occupied. The cups it comes with for food and water are a nice tough, and good quality. It also comes with a wooden perch, but I prefer to use other perches that are better for her feet. The entire cage folds down flat so it is easy to travel with and set up at our temporary location. I have found that the top sinks down a little so I zip tie the top of the cage to the top of the side walls just to stabilize it (not necessary though - it would be fine without it, just a little loose).Over all this works fine for its intended purchase!

This is a great travel cage for a medium sized bird. I have three African greys who travel with me in an RV on vacation. Some of these trips extend to 4-6 weeks. This cage is a very good size, being large enough for the bird to have plenty of room and also the three cages fit conveniently in my above the cab sleeping loft. Some cages are too tall to go in the loft. The handle on top makes it easy to move the cages around. The slide out tray on the bottom makes cleaning easy (I cover it with a few sheets of newspaper) and also contains spilled water and food. I would not recommend this as a permanent bird cage, but for trips (even long ones of 4-6 weeks) this is a great size. I bought two of these 4 years ago, and then a third more recently and I will say that the quality has gone down slightly. The newer one was a bit less sturdy, but still acceptable. I added a twisted rope perch (the 18-21 inch long ones) which give better grip for the bird while the RV is moving. Then, I positioned the wooden perch next to the food/water bowls in front so they have two levels to stand on.
