Would give negative stars if I could. Worked for a day or two and then completely stopped.Powered itself off.It was supposed to work for over a month and and it barely worked for a day. Came home after first used to starving fish. Several were sick, most emaciated, one died.I want to return this for the cost of the item and the damn fish that died. Unfortunately, because I was away, it's been too long to return it. Also, I didn't put it on the day I received it, I had a couple of weeks before I even needed it, so I didn't even get it out of the box until a day before I left. Cheap Chinese piece of crap that is just to scam money. Electronics are locked in in epoxy block, so I can't even fix it if I want to. Would give negative stars if I could.

Doesn’t work very well. Tried 6 different types of fish food and none of them are very consistent. Large flake seemed to be the best, but not ideal for my fish.

The food gets stuck even though it is small food. The feeder stopped working after around 6 months. I contacted seller because it says 2 year warranty they said they would send me another one. 5 months later and I still never got the replacement. Finally contacted them again and just asked for a refund. Now they only want to give a full refund. Said I waited too long. It’s still under warranty and I never got a replacement when they said they would send one. They said they needed my address but I never got asked for it and assumed they had it. I definitely do not recommend this product.

Brought a few auto fish feeders to try out, this is the one last standing not becuase the best but it has the capacity to hold pellets for 5 days or so when we are away. It works well with smaller round pellets, but not with larger one which my kois love to eat. I mixed the small and large pellets together in the hopper, however, the large ones can block the dispenser, so the portion of feeding is not even. Sometimes, it dispenses less than usual due this reason. The timer is not that accurate, and it tends to run behind a few minutes each day.One thing stands out is the capabilty to adjust the portion for the feedings, from 1 to 5 small dozes. I wish they can increase it to 10 and make the hopper bigger, so it holds a few more days of food.There are 5 feeding frequencies, every 8, 12, 24, 36 and 72 hrs, and each feeding dispose portion from 1-5 doses. This may work with indoor aquarium with hood lights on at night, however, I used it to feed kois in the outdoor pond preferrably during daylight time. So, a fixed time of the day timer would work better. For example, 4 feedings at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm would be perfect. So, there is plenty of room for perfecting this product. Until then, just live with it.

This feeder does a good job of custom portioning food. It has a clever little barrel that rotates to get food from the hopper and then drops it into a chute. The aperture in the barrel lets anywhere from a tiny amount of food in all the way up to a rather small portion. The plus side is that it will pour this small portion in up to 5 times per feeding so even if the portion is small, it can be done several times. I have two 125 gallon tanks. I tested this with flake food on the community tank and it works great. I tested it with a mix of medium pellets of both sinking food and floating food on the cichlid tank and it worked great. If you have large cichlids this may clog on the biggest pellets but since giant cichlid owners are the minority of fish owners that may be OK. The interface is fairly simple so it's easy enough to use and set.The downside is that this comes with a clamp that will not work on glass for 125g or larger tanks. This is designed for 55g or smaller tanks where it will work flawlessly. I've figured out a way to safely rig this so its fine but it's not as intended. It also comes with suction cup feet for sticking to lids and pouring over the back edge into the tank. This works just fine except that I don't have lids because I love looking down into my tanks like lakes. It's a good design that is easy to use. Overall, it's great but I can't use it out of the box with my specific setup.

Bought this for an upcoming vacation. Tested before we left and it worked well. We were gone for a week and our 5 goldfish were happy and healthy when we got back! Pretty cool

I bought this for red eared sliders. Plan to use the 48 hour feed. I tried to have it dispense 3 portions. Each portion is about 2 tsp of Tetramin sticks (broken in half). It takes practice to find the amount of food you want released. There is no electronic screen to tell me what program is in the memory. I wish it had that feature. I would give it more stars if the programming would display and I could set the time to dispense food. It is dispensing at 3 am every 48 hours. While the boys are sleeping.
