Great product did its job great value for the money and my dog could not get out of it. We use it for his nails he’s not vicious, but he will pull back and bark because he hates it, but I don’t want to ever take a chance with an animal. I’d rather do it and be safe.

The large muzzle DOES NOT FIT my 2yr old, 90 lb. GSD. He needs the XL muzzle.

My FIL has a Lab that bites. I purchased this muzzle after we went to the vet. The mesh one my FIL had he couldn’t get on the dog between fighting with him and trying to fight to get the muzzle to stay in position to slip on the dog. I told the vet tech and they came out with a muzzle that looked like this one. No matter how much he tried to get it off he couldn't and eventually surrendered to defeat. So, I went to Amazon and purchased this one. The first 2x I put it on he bucked and rolled around like someone was killing him for the first 5-10 minutes and that was it. Now, he just lets me slip it on and doesn’t try to get it off. He doesn’t like it, but he’s content and I feel completely safe. I have to use it to groom, bath or basically do ANYTHING with him. I feel safe and I feel he is safe. The fact that he knows it is securely on and he can’t get it off he calmed down and stop fighting and I don’t worry he is going to injure himself.

I bought size large which is supposed to fit a 10" circumference snout, when the item arrived. You can tell by looking that its to small. It does appear to be high quality and if it was the correct size im sure I would love it. you can see in the image that it is not 10 inches & thats the outside dimensions. I'm going to buy the extra large, But I am concerned that I may have gotten a medium shipped instead of a large? If that is the case, then the extra large is going to be way too big. I do want the leather style. As that is the type my vet uses. In the past I have bought a metal basket shape which is dangerous because if your dog is fighting you, your face will get hit with it. I bought a plastic basket style. I liked that one okay, but it's a lot larger around the face, which appears to obstruct the dog's vision., so that is the reason why I have bought a leather muzzle. I can't tell you a lot about it because I did not need to take it out of its sealed package. I will post a follow up when I get the extra large one.

I used to clip my dog’s nails when he was younger without a problem, but now since he’s 15 yrs has osteoarthritis and no patience he doesn’t want to be touched for any type of grooming and bares his teeth at me. To prevent any bites I decided to search for a well made leather muzzle that I’ve seen vets use. This one fits the bill and reasonable price too. Large size muzzle for my Swiss mountain dog (Appenzeller) who is 65lbs.Well-made with long strap and buckle and 11 holes for different size heads.His nose sticks out for him to breathe normally and comfortable form around his muzzle to prevent bites. Leather is a little stiff out of the package, but I had squeezed it a bit before use. It worked very well while cutting his nails. Of course he wasn’t used to me muzzling him and was getting stressed so my daughter was there to help hold him and try to keep him calm. Very easy to unbuckle after I was finished. Very happy and well worth the purchase!

Beware, this muzzle is too small to fit on a standard adult male German Shepherd head. I have three and they are normal size dogs, not oversized. I bought this muzzle once before and went to the vet but could not get it on. You need an Extra Large for Adult German Shepherd males. It probably would fit on a female GSD head.The quality is okay. The strap could be wider and it is not all that easy to find the holes. For what it is, it is, in my opinion, too expensive for what you get given that it is made in a 3rd world country where labor costs are lower and not the US, it should cost less. Sadly there are few leather muzzles that are as good if you are looking for an open mouth muzzle to feed your dog treats while the vet is examining your dog.

Ordered this muzzle as large to replace a prior order for a size medium muzzle that came as small size and was returned. This muzzle as recieved was a medium fit not a large fit. I found it to be a high-quality leather muzzle that does fit my medium sized Wheaton Terrier dog. Glad I ordered the large size .

The quality of the product is pretty good. However, I don't know if I chose the wrong size or not but they seem to run a little bigger than I thought. I have a small dog, and thought by ordering a size small it would fit my dog perfectly. That was not the case. It wasn't too big where it was falling off of his mouth but I should have sized down. So my advice to anyone wanting to purchase this item, size down. Other than that, the item is perfect.
