This is a good laser pointer. What is strange is that the design seems to focus on having an array of dots/shapes, rather than a single, bright dot. Once you unscrew the array contraption, it works like a standard laser pointer, but it looks like something is wrong with it or missing from it. I would rather see the manufacturer remove the array feature entirely, and make it look normal when used like a typical laser pointer. The multi-array is pointless and serves no useful purpose.

This is very similar to another laser pointer we got for leading bird and nature tours. They're handy for pointing out hard-to-find things outdoors. (Don't point it AT a bird or animal, but draw a large circle around it.) This and the other are the brightest pointers I've run across.I've found no problem with plugging the pointer horizontally into a USB port. It's simply not heavy enough to cause a problem. There's one aspect of this one that may either be an assembly problem or a feature. The projection of the beam on an object seems to be formed by several smaller beams slightly skewed from one another. It's more noticeable at greater distances. In practice, it results in a slightly larger green dot that's easier to see at 150 feet in daylight.I'm pleased with the pointer. Now, we'll both have one and we can dodge more of those situations where one of us is attempting to tell the other where that rare bird is perched. "See the third limb on the right side of that middle pine tree? Now go out six feet to where there are two little branches, and then ..." They're handy for pointing out the star constellations and satellites, too.

I have seen the light. Literally. This laser pointer is so absurdly bright that I’m fairly certain it could be seen from space. The moment I turned it on, my two dogs and my nephew were instantly hypnotized, transforming into a highly competitive, cross-species search-and-destroy team. For HOURS, they chased this thing with the kind of determination I wish I had at the gym. The dogs skidded across the hardwood, the nephew dove over furniture, and not once did the laser even flicker. The battery life on this thing is absolutely ridiculous—I was starting to think it was powered by some sort of dark magic. I finally turned it off just so they’d drink water, and all three of them stared at me like I had committed a crime. If you want a ridiculously bright, long-lasting laser that entertains both children and pets to the point of exhaustion while you sit back and enjoy the chaos, look no further.

I am a big fan of laser pointers. I own all different kinds of them. Little red ones that fit in the palm of your hand, green ones that require a key to unlock them (I know I have that key somewhere), and a few others. The one with the key uses an 18650 battery, while they're easy to find online, if you run out of power before a presentation, you couldn't begin to find them in a local store and they need a special charger as well. When I saw this laser pointer was rechargeable using USB, I decided to get it. It doesn't require a key to unlock it but you have to remove this little guard from the power switch that prevents it from turning on in your pocket or briefcase. Don't lose it or else! I noticed there is no charging light to tell you if it's charging or if it's fully charged. The green laser light is extremely bright and can go at least a half mile so never point it in anyone's eyes. The label says

This is a very bright green laser. Unfortunately, the charge does not last long at all. Moreover, it can be every easy for the button to be pressed accidentally during transport (eg. by other items in your briefcase, purse, or computer bag) which could be dangerous if you end up being hit in the eyes with it. I will update this review if needed based on further experience.

Not classify this as a mega bright or super bright laser. To me it was just an average laser, but it gave me the ability to split the beam into multiple large area Designs my mission was to drive my cat crazy at which it did. They’re used to chasing after one laser and not hundreds and or thousands of individual lasers the unit does not feel cheap. It is lightweight and easy to use. It’s not military grade but that’s OK. It charges very easy and has a nice compact size. I’m enjoying my time tormenting the cats and this allows me to do it five stars given.

Quality of the Product:This laser pointer feels sturdy overall, but I've read that some folks have issues with the charge holding up and accidental turn-ons, which could be a dealbreaker if you're tossing it in a backpack or purse.Functionality:It's got ridiculous range, seriously. Shining this thing outside can make a stargazer out of anyone, just avoid pointing it at aircraft or, you know, directly at people. Not super pet-friendly though unless you wanna risk your furries’ eyeballs.Design:It's compact, rechargeable via USB, and that starfield effect? A nice touch for lighting up a room. Just be sure not to lose the tiny safety features, or it might switch on when you least expect it.General Overall Recommendation:Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone who needs a powerful pointer, as long as you handle it carefully and respect its power. It slips up a bit in safety design and battery life but is a solid piece of gear where it counts. I'd go with a 4 out of 5 stars.
