These work amazingly well on my workmate to hold material while I drill or cut pieces. I just finished up building an electronics panel for my boat to hold a fuse panel, Solar controller, and my amplifier. This was great to hold the piece while I cut and drilled out all of the mounting holes for my equipment. I realized after I had 2 items mounted that I needed to make an additional cut. Rather than pulling everything off to do it. I adjusted the height and added some scrap pieces under it so the bolts would clear. These clamps held on just as tight to allow for my mess up. Perfect for my needs.

Build quality and fit is good, but, the functionality is bad. Doesnt hold well. Couldnt get it to working. THings keep slipping off.

Full disclosure, I received this item as part of Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, good or bad. These are a nice idea, and seem well made, but the round part that goes into the holes on your workbench is too short to bind up when clamping an object down. It needs to be at least twice as long, if not longer to work. I just wont clamp at all. I have traditional hold fast for my work bench and there is a reason the part that goes in the hole is 10 inches deep instead of less than 1 inch. These just don't work at all.

I ordered these workbench clamps for use with a cheap workbench I got from Harbor Freight Tools. Sadly, these bench dogs to not fit any of the holes in my table. After my initial disappointment that the clamps did not fit my table, I thought that I would modify the plugs. Unfortunately, the clamp plugs are metal which means I can’t tweak them to work with my table. There is a set screw that holds the plug so I may be able to salvage them in the future, either by purchasing a smaller plug or making my own.Regardless, the clamps are solid and should be able to handle any holding task that you have in mind. Adjusting the clamps did feel a bit awkward, perhaps due to the thickness and weight of the metal but they don’t slide very smoothly, if that is important to you. But that could work in your favor when securing your workpiece.

I use the Bora Portamate centipede table and the table tops with 3/4" dogholes in them. I needed a good set of clamps to hold things down for sanding and drilling and figured I might as well take advantage of the dog holes. This set is really all that I wanted and more. It is made out of steel and built like it will last a lifetime. The clamps held down my workpiece very securely and the rubber padding protected it well. I have no complaints about these clamps.

These dog clamps work great to hold down work pieces while I manipulate them. They fit the holes in my workbench perfectly. It is a simple matter to position the clamp over a workpiece and squeeze the clamp lever to lock it in place and securely hold the workpiece down to the workbench. Once you are done the release button takes the tension off of the workpiece and you can move on to the next one.

I have a bora centipede and I've been looking for different options for hold downs. I figured I'd grab these and give them a shot. The first thing I noticed was how heavy they were. That usually speaks to the quality behind the piece. It does seem like it's built well and everything fits nicely. The mechanism isn't the smoothest, but it does the job.Overall I'd recommend.
