I love 2 layer shorts as I have never achieved the thigh gap and prefer to avoid chafing. The under layer does not slide up and they look great with 2 layers, not too tight or baggy. Pockets are awesome, all shorts should have pockets. Great waist height too, not too high but high enough to hide some tummy. I found these originally at TJ Maxx but have not been able to find until I got them here. Do not hesitate to purchase, you will love them!

Comfortable waistband are the perfect length. Wish they didn’t change the waist band on the other colors (changed it to a gathered and not plain not as comfortable for sports) and kept them plain like the black ones.

These shorts are a great basic workout short. I love how quickly they dry and appreciate the modest underlayer. I wish they had full pockets or at least a full-size waistband pocket for a phone, but they’re great for a workout and working outside in the heat!

I really like these shorts. The material is nice and light, they’re not too short, and I love the liner shorts. The only problem is they run a little big if you’re between sizes. Or maybe they don’t, and I just have a warped perception of my size. I ordered a large but these fit kinda big. I own a pair of Baleaf running shorts in a size Large and those fit fine (a little loose but I prefer a loose fit for running shorts). Whenever I order bike shorts or leggings, I usually order a large if I want them to be totally squat proof, but can also fit into medium comfortably. For reference, I’m 5’2 and my measurements are 37”- 29”- 40” with my weight pretty every distributed. I wear a size 8 in AE jeans and a 6/8 in H&M denim. I think if these had a drawstring, they’d be perfect; as they are now they will fall down if I run in them. I will be ordering another pair in a size Medium and keeping these for lounging around or taking leisurely walks.

These are the perfect shorts. Just the right length, and the inner short is tight but not constricting and doesn’t leave marks on my legs (and I have bigger thighs and still don’t have issues). Plus they stay down when walking and I don’t feel like my legs are eating my shorts, which is an issue with athletic shorts. Super comfy, function pockets (that hold a phone and it isn’t constantly falling out), cute. TTS, normally wear large in athletic bottoms and large fits perfectly in these.

Die Hose ansich finde ich total super, sie sieht sehr schön aus, sitzt perfekt doch leider ist die Naht, die den Gummi mit der Hose verbindet, bereits beim zweiten Tragen gerissen. Da ich die Hose grundsätzlich toll finde, werde ich sie nähen. Aber bei dieser Qualität werde ich wohl leider die Hose nicht noch in einer anderen Farbe kaufen, obwohl ich das vorhatte

Ordering and color issues:I ordered a pair of these Layer 8 woven quick dry 2 in 1 running shorts in color: True Blue/Black Iris-Knit. I was sent a pair of Black Iris/True Blue-Knit. You can see where the confusion happened... I totally understood and called customer service because I didn't want to simply return and reorder and get another pair of "navy" shorts when I was wanting "turquoise." The representative said that he was sending a replacement pair and that I could send the srong ones back. Well they sent the SAME pair again.Fit and comfort:I am 5'5" 170 lbs (pear shape). If you are tall and slender, then these will likely fit you better/differently. On me, the Large is bit snug and I wear a Med-Lg in all other bottoms ( size 10-12 for reference). They feel nice and silky and are VERY lightweight and I love that. Keep in mind that the sides are slit so you can see the compression shorts hugging all of your curves and I don't love that. The compression shorts underneath are pretty snug, but that may be because of the sizing, not design. Also, I find that these are a tad too short, if I'm being picky.So with the color mix up mentioned above, I do have a pair of these, however, I ordered some Riboom 2 in 1 shorts, and then I ordered 2 more pairs. They are a little longer, but not too long, a little less snug, but not baggy, and they are more flattering on me all around.

This review is for the shorts WITHOUT the drawstring waist in this listing. I originally found a pair of these Layer 8 shorts at TJMaxx in the bright orange color. I loved them so much that I kept going back to see if they, or Marshall's, would get more colors in stock. I am so glad I decided to look on Amazon for these! The gray and black were just delivered and the fit is exactly as the orange ones that I already had. I love the fact that the compression shorts underneath don't ride up and the top layer of shorts doesn't get caught between my legs. The waist band is nice and wide and lays flat on my stomach. For reference, I am about 5'2" and 115lbs and the size small is perfect. I wish there was a little interior slip for my car key, but I just cut a tiny slit into the inside of the waistband and slip my key in there. I've done this with other athletic wear and it works great.
