I originally received this wine opener as a gift about 20 years ago ... it lasted until about a year ago. I replaced it with this version which works okay but it's definitely not the same quality of steel. Seems a bit loose so I hope it lasts at least 1/2 as long as my original!

Il design senza compromessi si sposa alla funzionalità. Facilissimo stappare una bottiglia, basta tirare la coda e il tappo viene via senza esitazioni. La finitura in una cromatura grassa è ben realizzata, è un oggetto da lasciare in vista che fa bella mostra di se: sarebbe un peccato riporlo in un cassetto. Se proprio devo trovare un difetto potrebbe essere nei ribattini usati per incernierare le parti del pantografo, sembrano un pò debolucci, ma forse è solo un effetto visivo, sarà l'utilizzo nel tempo a dare il responso.

I used this product for what it was designed for. I had trouble using it the fourth time as I had already gone through three bottles of wine. Does what it says. Packaged well and arrived very quickly.

The worm/screw portion of this opener came out after opening just 3 bottles. Also, the design of this, while cool looking and theoretically provides leverage while opening a bottle of wine, just doesn’t work well. It’s difficult to open a bottle while maintaining a good grip on the bottle itself.Not recommended and returned for a refund.

Toller Korkenzieher, besonders für Frauen geeignet. Die Hebelwirkung ist perfekt und man bekommt jeden Korken raus. Ich habe schon einen seit ca. 20 Jahren und der ist immer noch perfekt. Ich liebe dieses Teil und habe schon einige davon verschenkt. Mit einer guten Flasche Wein ein cooles Mitbringsel.

I bought this to replace an original "Lazy Fish" corkscrew which had been a present from my brother in England many years ago. This original was green, not shiny, and worked wonderfully. The Kitchen Craft model is a not-very-subtle bright shiny silver. I'm assuming it will work as well as the dearly departed green "Lazy Fish", but I seem to have been drinking wine in screw tops of late, so I'm not sure I've actually used it yet.
