If you don't need to place the pot lid , we suggest you can utilize the spoon slots to hold your utensils. More aesthetic than it is functional. Can't really set the utensil and lid simultaneously the lid will fall or the spoons leak to the counter case can't be placed completely on the item. You have to wash it essentially after to each use and it's nice and weighted but added another task in clean up versus I have had silicone ones or stainless steel ones prior and I could easily rinse off those. This one i do need to add it to the dished to wash thoroughly. Pretty on the counter, would prefer something I could have on my gas stove to free us counter space.

Theres no rubber bits on the bottom so it would slide, I added some. Because the lid holder is in the back you have to use it sideways otherwise it's too awkward to put a lid in. I also don't always trust the kids to say up but nothing has fallen yet. Nice quality though.

It's a lovely matte black ceramic, which I appreciate as being true to its listing (as I've had other items arrive shiny not matte!) Its exactly what I was looking for with my kitchen esthetic. I did however deduct one star because the first arrived completely broken.. which they quickly replaced. The second arrived much better packed, but the ceramic itself is slightly warped leaving a small amount of movement when on a flat surface. Not enough of an issue to return because I love it! Would order again!
