These are excellent for individual servings of onion soup. Most other choices were 20 to 28 ounces. These at 15 ounces make for a perfect portion. We've only used them once. They survived a 400 degree oven and cleaned up easily.Good choice.

Generally speaking, we are very happy with the quality of these bowls. They are attractive and practical. They hold a generous quantity of soup. I have used them in the microwave and in the middle of the oven with the broiler on to melt cheese. My only criticism concerns the handles. They are hollow and have two small holes on the underside. The holes allow water to get in when washing either by hand or in the dishwasher. You have to be sure to let the handles drain before putting the bowls away. I am also worried that hollow handles will break more easily. So far, so good.

Ordered these bowls and love their look! Their purpose also serves well only the handles pee when you hold them. The handles capture water from a small hole on the bottom, and when you hold it the liquid leaks out all over you.
