Not sure if product was used before, but the product packaging itself was already half opened when I opened the outer delivery packaging.

My 6 year old grandson love his stethoscope! He said he wanted a real one and that’s exactly what he got! He listens to everybody’s heart beat and has even started comparing them!

The reviews seem to indicate that it worked well. Unfortunately you can barely hear a heartbeat with this. Still works for a toddler, but not was I was hoping for

While it's not doctor grade, it does work quite well. We all listen to each others hearts and lungs regularly. When my wife was pregnant, my daughter likes to listen to the baby move around. Be careful, it'll hurt your ears a bit if you tap on it while wearing it. Not damaging to your ears, just loud. It's lasted us quite a while, the diaphragm has a wrinkle in it but that's due to abuse. Its a toy and gets left on the floor sometimes etc.Great product.

yes i am an adult. so it's a weensy bit tight on me (surprised right. lol) but i didn't have the money on hand for the nearly $100 one that's out there and there are a few things i Needed something like this for. (won't bore you with details other than to say i have older cats and also some issues of my own i want to keep on top of)for what i paid, i got better than i honestly expected from a "kid's toy". sure it's not professional grade but i can hear what i need to pretty easy. i was able to tell one of my "girls" needed to go to the vet for a watery sound in her left lung with no trouble. (by the way, thank you to the seller for that... she's my oldest cat and it may have just saved her life!)now i will not tell you that this should be used Instead of a doctor visit or even a "real" stethoscope. but it's a good and useful product and works. not perfectly, but pretty good for what you pay. so yes, i say get this for your little ones. not only is it the perfect gift for your doctors/nurses-to-be but it will help make actual visits less scary for them as well having had some personal hands on experience with some of the tools they'll encounter.

They had career day at my son's elementary school and each child was allowed to dress in the job they want to have as an adult. My son wanted to be a doctor this year, so he needed a stethoscope. Decided to order this one because the price was reasonable and it had good reviews. It came fine just a few days later and it is a real stethoscope. It works very well and you can easily hear another's heart beating. Five stars so far!

A few things: I thought that this was Learning Resources (brand toy), it was not. It came in another type of packaging and as far as I could tell, unrelated to anything Learning Resources makes. The item that arrived was similar, the connecting piece was black, not blue. It DOES work, however, and that is the reason we kept it. Both of our children enjoy it, 19 months and 3 years old, as they are fascinated by anything to do with being a doctor/vet. A note of caution: the ear pieces are not totally secure, we have had them fall off. Use with supervision and it really should not matter. My 19 month old saw the white tip and immediately gave it to me after it fell off. I do not let them use it without supervision because it is still an actual medical instrument, not a designated toy. In all, it does serve its purpose and we are happy with our purchase.

My daughter wanted to be "Doc McStuffins" for Halloween and this is perfect for her costume and for doing checkups on all her dolls and stuffed animals. This is a working stethoscope. This is great for her now. The tubing and parts are in to my knowledge pretty authentic. Beware if your child's ear canals are big enough for the ear buds to fit like they are supposed to. My daughter 's ear canal are still narrow enough that they don't go all the way in and therefore she doesn't get the real loud sound but if your kid is big, make sure they understand the affects of loud noise. Parents.... These is a real working stethoscope.5 stars for being real and a great price.

I was unhappy with all the cheap doctor sets out there, and my 3 year old son was unimpressed by them. I have a lot of health issues, and have been hospitalized multiple times, so playing doctor is one of the ways my son deals with his anxieties and fears about it all. Its really given him a sense of empowerment to understand what hospitals are for and what doctors really do. So this Christmas I decided to make him a QUALITY doctor set, something that would help him learn and expand as opposed to a bunch of plastic dodads that would just take up space in the play area. This stethoscope was the absolute icing on the cake for his set. He use to pretend to listen to peoples heart with the pretend plastic one that came with his doctor costume, but now he can ACTUALLY listen to heartbeats thanks to this. He listens to EVERYONE that will let him (especially enjoys listening to mama's belly since baby brother is in there and due very soon.) Its worth every cent.
