We use these muzzles for dog grooming when our furry customers really don't want us to touch a certain area. The muzzles are very human in that they fit well and allow normal breathing, panting and even barking; they just restrict the biting. There are many other muzzles for sale on multiple marketplace platforms; however, the others do not have the same quality. The less expensive muzzles tend to come loose, and parts of the basket will break pretty quickly. These last longer and provide better safety to both the doggie and person.

Bought this as part of my GSD's training. She loves to wear it and is easy to clean. I did have to add a hole to ensure a tighter fit behind her ears. She can drink water and take small treats while wearing it.

This muzzle is very soft. Very comfortable and fits my Malinois well. Lots of room for his long snout.

Wanted to be able to use our own instead of using the muzzle at the vet. It fits nicely and seems comfortable, doesn't slip and the basket is thick and durable.

I needed a muzzle that had as few straps as possible. It was hard to get the right size but once I did I’m pleased. I wish it was all leather

I have several of these muzzles in my home. I have Afghan Hounds that I do racing and lure coursing with. Some event rules must wear muzzles. This is to protect the lure they are chasing.

First off, despite the title of the item "Leather Brothers Italian Basket Dog Muzzle" the only leather is the strip around the head and the lining of the muzzle piece only on the top (about a 2" x 1/4" strip). Rest of it is super low quality plastic.Size fit my labradoodle perfectly. But it took her about 2 minutes to take it off and chew it apart. It was on her snug and secure. If I want to make it so she cannot take it off, I need to make it so tight, that no owner would want that.

I've been looking for a decent muzzle for my 1 year old lab puppy who recently had surgery to remove rocks from his gut. I've tried muzzles with the plastic buckle and he just snapped it right off. Finally, I came across this one and it is AMAZING. There wasn't a hole where we needed it in the strap but we just poked one through so that was no big deal. He can pull it off his and below his snout if he really tries to, but after getting him adjusted to it, he hasn't. Now he can run in the yard again and we don't have to worry about him eating what he shouldn't!* We've had no issues with any sharp parts. It fits comfortably snug with leather padding on the snout.* We got size 8 for our 1 year old purebred chocolate lab.

The plastic corners that are meant to hold the sliding piece in place in front are sharp plastic corners that sit uncomfortably too close to your dogs soft nose. other than that, the muzzle is nice and works well for it's intended purpose.I tore the plastic corners off by twisting them with my fingers, took out the sliding piece, sanded down the left over plastic from tearing off the sharp corners -- works like a charm fits fine. Decent quality plastic with a soft band that sits over your dogs nose so the plastic isn't sitting on their face directly.used minimally for training. (being worn for 15-30 minutes at a time)No muzzle is meant to be left on your dog unattended / unsupervised.

I have tried five muzzles from Amazon in the last couple of weeks, trying to find one that would fit my Border Collie mix and that she could wear comfortably during the day when the other dogs were out of their kennels. They have been cloth, rubber and leather, but this is the first one that actually fits her and stays on without the center strip between her eyes. She accepted it the moment I put it on and is not trying to get out of it as she does with the others. It's well ventilated. She can pant and drink water with it. The leather strap is sturdy, but I dislike the flimsy buckles they put on muzzles. If my pit bull/mastiff mix needed a muzzle, I'm not sure I would trust this, but for around the house and the dog park with a medium-size dog, it will do nicely. As a plus, it looks great on her. It doesn't look intimidating. The leather muzzle was a very heavy-duty muzzle and it looked like I had a really vicious dog when she wore it, plus it was a heavy leather muzzle, whereas this one is lightweight and comfortable for her to wear.
