so far so good. Have cleaned up dies that were shipped/received within 1 day. Brass yet to be prepped for these 300 BO dies. More to follow.

Lee makes great dies for a great price. You can load ammo that is just as precise as what is made with much more expensive dies, what is there not to like?

When forming brass, cases didn't quite make specs according to my lyman headspace gauge. I took some great advice from a youtube video and ground .006 off the shell holder. Shell holders are cheap and expendable. Otherwise worked great and would always recommend Lee products.

I bought the Lee 3 Die Set for 300 AAC Blackout a few weeks ago, here on Amazon and I received it quickly and with no damage from shipping even though it was only shipped in a standard Amazon Bubble Wrap Mailer. The product is perfect, the problems are the product description and the price. According to Lee Precision, the only Limited Production 300 AAC Blackout Die Set they offer is the 2 Die Set. The 3 Die Set, offered here, is the Lee Pacesetter Die Set and is the normal 3 die set that Lee offers in this calibre. I paid $50, here on Amazon, a few weeks ago and the price has gone up!?! The MSRP is $42 and right now at Midway USA it's In Stock & On Sale for only $32! In the end, its up to each one of us to decide whether or not to purchase from re-sellers who take advantage of others.

I started with a Lee 223 set (love it) and decided to build an upper in 300 AAC Blackout. After trimming the cases right below the neck, this does a great job of sizing it down so I can load my own cast bullets (boolits). The silver one is my first attempt and will be re-molded so no laughing haha! I just wanted to load one to test the dies and also cycle the action of my newly built upper. The decapper/full sizer works really well and has given me no issues with crimped primers. My 223 die did but I think that was on me. Nonetheless, these work really well and I love the cost and performance!I'm going to buy a carbide neck sizer for these to make my brass last a lot longer (but the brass has to be fired out of your gun to use that...if it's once fired then you've got to full length resize).

I'm new to reloading. Doing it in a small studio apartment with a Lee Hand Press. I buy great reformed military brass from a place called Flying Brass in TX. $15/100 with cheap shipping. I do run them through the sizing die to flare the neck a bit to more easily seat my 125 Vmax Flat base, and even for my Nosler 125 BTs. Using a general purpose silicon spry lubricant and all is fine. After running them through the sizing die, I check every piece of brass with my Wilson Gage and all came out perfect.Seating die works great with very consistent results. So simple to use. I watched a couple videos on YouTube on how to set it up, and it was a peice of cake.I really like the crimping die being seperate. I take my time, and do 50 rounds at a time. Crimping die helps me pay attention to the details, and the crimp is nice. Great value compare to the other brands, I think.

So recently decided to drink the 300 AAC Blackout Kool-Aid and learned very quickly that factory ammo is non-existent for this new cartridge. So that left me with the choice of making my own, a quick Google search brought me to these Lee dies on Amazon. As I have used Lee dies before(300Win, 223, 308, 30-06, 9mm, 10mm, 44mag) I had no problem ordering them again. I read a few other 1 star reviews about how crappy these dies are and I chalk that up to brand snobbery, ie these are cheap so they can't possibly be as good as dies costing $60.The sizer worked very well forming cases from LC 5.56, the 300 BLK OUT is pretty much a straight wall cases so I needed very little lubrication with this dies to get the job done. The expander ball worked well in spite of the brass shavings from the trimming process. The seater die maintains a consistent depth and I like the fact that no crimp function is present in the die body. The lee crimp die works well with the seater and allows precise control of the crimp.I'm very happy with this die set and I'll purchase more Lee dies in the future.
