Important Note:
The most likely reason a pin would bend is that the user is trying to primers from Berdan casings. Berdan casings are not designed to be reloaded, only casings with crimped primers can be reloaded. Most steel and aluminum casings are Berdan casings. Another common cause of a bent pin is not placing the shell casing all the way into the shell holder.

Works great on 28 Nosler so far. I have de-capping dies for other calibers, but couldn't find one for the 28 Nosler. Now I can do all my brass on this one die. Hats off to Lee...again!

Like the price. Works great! If you question Lee's quality given their lower price point, purchase their most recent reloading manual. They go into detail on how they make quality equipment for the budget conscience reloader. Other item to note is this die comes with it's own plastic case. That wasn't clear in the description. Purchasing a de-capping die allows you to decap before cleaning your brass. It will save you an additional cleaning step since you don't need to worry about fouling your de-capping / resizing die with dirty brass.

Awesome for de-priming brass before wet tumbling, clean primer pockets are good. Pin tends to break after awhile, Squirrel Daddy makes a better replacement pin.Highly recommend.

Handig ding. Eenmaal afgesteld blijft hij op mijn 5-station press gemonteerd voor al mijn hulzen. Werkt tot nu toe feilloos.

The decapping die does work. Would have given it five stars but I am not a fan of the adjustment of the pin. I loosened it and the pin drops down. I hade to take the die out in order to adjust the pin. Not a fan of that... It's like a collet I guess you call itUPDATE I am now glad the pin slipped. Had it not slipped I probably wouldn't have broken the pin. There was a Berdan case in with that brass. I now know what a Berdan is. Look down the case mouth you see two holes Boxer primer you see one hole. You're welcome.

A few months ago I switched from the walnut cleaning media to the stainless steel/water tumbling media.Much of my accumulated brass has been reclaimed from gravel pits and other back country spots where people shoot and the brass is left behind. Some is still pristine and there's some found laying in the dirt for years, some of which is too dirty to work with as is, let alone considering running it through a resizing die.Reloaders have different views and practices when it comes to the necessity of cleaning the inside of their brass or the primer pockets and that's their prerogative. A clean piece of brass is nice to start with.I purchased this die specifically to deprime the brass, prior to cleaning it with the stainless steel/water media as previously mentioned, even though it's an additional step. The term touchless could be used, except for the shell holder and the decapping punch contact. It is truly a universal die, I have deprimed .204 Ruger to 45-70 and .380 to the .50 AE by simply changing the shell holders as necessary, without a glitch, including crimped primers, using a Lyman All American Turret Press.I suspect the die would work in a truly progressive press to speed up the process but I wouldn't recommend or try it because of the wear and tear of cycling the press without producing any loaded ammo and the brass would need to be closely inspected to prevent any potential machine damage or dirt contamination. It's a high quality versatile decapping die. I would highly recommend it for it's intended purpose.

As I’ve found with all Lee products it’s the very best steel and highest levels of precision. I wanted to deprime before resizing so that I could tumble clean my brass first before resizing and reloading. This does nearly all used case sizes and is very tough even when using it to deprime used crimped ex military brass. Should last a lifetime and a very fair price
