We use this for our gecko who began o bite. Now he can get out of his cage and get some exercise. When he wants to come out, he gets into the ball and waits for us to put the top on it. Then he slowly rolls around the house. We have no fear of him getting into trouble. he just can't figure out why he can't climb walls like he used to!

This little critter exercise ball is fantastic! It’s the perfect size for my hamster, giving them plenty of space to move around comfortably. The material is sturdy and well-ventilated, ensuring my pet stays safe and gets the exercise they need. The locking mechanism is secure but easy to open when it’s time to let them out. It’s also simple to clean and doesn’t scuff up floors when in use. My hamster seems to love it, and it’s been a great way to let them explore safely outside their cage.If you’re looking for a fun, safe exercise option for your small pet, this is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Not a bad hamster ball. Does what it’s supposed to do and good to keep your hamster active. Closing and securing the lid can sometimes be a little tricky. Once it’s on it stays secure. Not a dealbreaker but if someone, like an impatient kid, isn’t paying attention it can become frustrating or go on loosely with the possibility of popping off. I’d purchase again if needed but keep in mind that it occasionally requires a bit of attention to detail.

Pros:Hamster's Need for Speed:Forget the hamster wheel; it's time for the hamster NASCAR! I bought this product for my syrian hamster about a month in a half ago. She loved to roll around in it and get used to our home. However one thing is that she did grow a lot since I got this ball a and when a syrian hamster gets too big for the ball, their back will bit at and angle. And that can cause back problems for them in the future. However it did really help her get adjusted in her new home and for the price it’s not bad. One thing is, is that if you do not shut the “door” all the way, and your hamster bumps into something hard, the “door” could open up and the hamster could get out if you are not watching. Luckily I was there so she didn’t get very far. But you will know if it’s shut if you hear a click. All in all it’s a good product and I give it a thumbs up.

Our hamster loves it! The door doesn't stay closed but we use an elastic band or tape to keep it secure after one successful escape.

...but we should have named her Dora, because she loves to go exploring in her Kritter ball! When we place the opening near her cage door, she comes running and practically jumps into the ball. We supervise her at all times, and never leave her in for more than 15 minutes at a time.It can also be a useful tool for taming a new hamster. After your hamster has had her run, place the open ball in your lap. Don't force her, but after a while she should crawl out of the ball onto your lap. You might need to coax her with a treat like a sunflower seed or a piece of apple. Make a fence around your lap with your arms. Let her explore your lap for a minute to get used to your smell, then gently scoop her up and return her to her cage. She's likely to squirm a lot the first few times, so make sure the cage door is already open and not too far from where you are sitting. After repeating this for several days, she should become more willing to be handled by you.By the way, do your hamster a favor and buy a clear ball, not a colored ball. Hamsters have poor vision to begin with, so why make it even more difficult for them to see where they are going?5/28/2014 addendum: We haven't been using the ball as much lately, not because Brownie doesn't like it anymore, but because we have hamster-proofed the room her cage is in. Now we just close the door of the room and allow her to free-range. She was doing this tonight, and I lost track of where she was. After searching around a bit I found that she had discovered the empty hamster ball and climbed into it. She was sitting there, looking at me as if to say "Put the lid on this thing and let's get going!". I was dumbfounded. I guess we're going to keep the ball as part of her regular out-of-cage routine!
