Beware, the description of the product states it's made of metal.It is plastic! It does have stainless steel clamps, but it's plastic.

This valve replaced an old version on a gray water pump. It was easy to install and got everything working like new again.

We bought this as a backup to the original that we had in place and working well until the sump itself failed - in which case they had to replace the check valve at the same time and went with Zoeller for everything that time around. But, this valve worked well although not really a huge fan of the sale in the middle - ours leaked there but all we had to do was tighten to keep the seal.

I bought this so that I could deconstruct it and replace a broken valve I had at home. The exact model at home had started to leak all over the place. I had purchased a replacement different brand and it was going to require me to cut all my PVC pipes and reconnect everything to install. I went out on a limb and purchased this one.I deconstructed it and removed the gasket and placed it in my old check valve. I tightened it all up and no more leaks or issues! Been working great for a while now

I saw that the other day, my old check valve started to leak and decided to look online on getting a good quality one since the one I installed prior seemed "cheap" and would "water hammer" a bunch. Upon installing this, it totally stopped the water hammering and didn't leak at all. My pipe is 1 1/4 on both ends. After I yanked the old POS check valve, I put the two pieces together, tightened up both hose clamps (even though my pipe was 1 1/4 on both ends, I decided to clamp down on the 1 1/2" opening to ensure no water leaks out) and whatya know, it holds the pressure of a bunch of water while also keeping the seal! A+

easy to install. Works great on the basement laundry tub lift pump installation. (No drain back)
