This is edited review, because I bought another one of these MIDI controllersI had to reduce my earlier rating to 2 stars from 5. Why? If there is one thing that you absolutely need to get right is to have the plastic enclosure STRAIGHT and EVEN!. Not warped. The second item I got was warped. It's not missing a rubber leg, - the body itself is crooked in such a way that I'm not even sure there is a good solution here. It's bouncing when you play it!!! All the great keybeds in the world will make no difference if your piano is bouncing around when you play it. Yes I need to return it, however, living in Canada, and not having a printer at home, - the hoops I have to jump through in order to return this product are enormous! I have to find the time to East of where I live in the city and print my stickers at STAPLES. But guess what - Canadian STAPLES which does have Amazon locker WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS RETURN. So you will have to go back West, past the area you live in a few subway stations down in order to go to a UPS Amazon and return it. And by the way, - IT'S NOT FREE (Nope, if Amazon is telling you it's "prepaid" - it's a load of...). You have to pay $2 to return it as if adding insult to injury. It costs me two and a half hours of my time or longer. Sometimes it's rush hours and it takes longer. This is a really miserable service for a Prime member like myself. And this is why it has to be right THE FIRST TIME. Fix this problem please! Start appropriate quality control of your merchandise. before shipping it. I'm not the first person reporting it apparently either. Having said that, - here's another issue I didn't notice the first time. If you have two of the units and want to connect them to a DAW or a software synth then... you will have very mixed results. Some applications will allow you to play both, - one as a bass cleft (left hand), another as treble (right hand) - which was one of the reasons I wanted to get two. Other applications will act weird. For example - you may have keys stutter in octave +2 (Right hand) when you're also playing chords on - -2 (Left hand) . This is particularly true of older NI applications. So beware. Now that this is out of the way - below is my original review:If you are a traditional piano player. - you should definitely grab one. Or two. I'm not sure how to even describe the experience, but when I started playing it, - I became possessed by it for days. Imagine a real analog grand piano keybed only shrank about 2.5 times. I'm sure these are definitely not full weight keys or anything of that nature, - but it feels like one when you're playing it. It allows for unprecedented level of manual dexterity and control for a portable MIDI controller, it's possible for me to play very fast melodies with my right hand, almost as though it were a tiny flute. I'm thinking of getting a second one for Bass Cleft notes, to play with my left hand. I've tried them all - Novation, AKAI MPK Mini, M-Audio, even Arturia, - none of the brand names have a comparably nice keybed which allows this level of dexterity and expressiveness. One that I found hits really close is Monoprice's "Stageright" which is also (oddly enough) a very cheap offbrand product but it's a very large, 3-octave MIDI controller which doesn't have the same portability as Lekato. I didn't even have to change its velocity settings, right out of the box - it appears to have a superb velocity algorithm. Of course stuff like that is in the Eye of Beholder, but still, I have to note that every single portable MIDI keyboard I tried before - I had to change the velocity algorithm till it resembled that of the analog piano. Not this one. Note that other than impossibly nice keys - it doesn't have anything else going for it, all the other features are fairly standard, and one drawback for me was the fact that you cannot connect it to MIDI TRS and to Sustain pedal at the same time. It's "either or" - the same 3.5mm stereo A-type TRS port is used for both. It has no pads and only one encoder so it can't compete in functionality with other similar keyboards, but with how nice its keybed is - it's definitely worth the price and rather unique. I only hope it lasts.

So I've been looking for a compact, budget friendly controller for the longest time. In all the research I've done, at this price point, I've never come across one that has not only USB midi, but traditional midi out, and Bluetooth let alone a built-in battery. For $60??? Within 15 mins I had it running multiple synths over bt, was able to set up chords and creating basic melodies. Love the dial encoder too. It doesn't come with any free stripped down software but I need none of that anyway. It doesn't have pads or other encoders, but that's not my use case. I'm not sure how this is flying under the radar, but for the price it's really worth giving a chance, and I love the all black keys too. I'll be keeping an eye on Lekato going forward, love making finds like this.

This is a mini so keep that in mind. The Midi keyboard is small in size but it works well with responsiveness, and performance as to its ability to teach and learn the keys. You can almost download any app and it will support it. The buttons seem to function well and through the app you will find much versatility to play from different sounds. I got this for our students but I enjoy playing on it myself.

This little keyboard is a pretty good device for the price. I was able to mess around with it a little to make sure it worked and get a feel for it. I still haven't really dug into it yet, as the machine with MIDI I want to use it on is packed up at the moment. The build quality seemed pretty good to me. I spent more on a used MIDI keyboard on eBay a couple years back.I like it, and I hope to have it for many years to come.

Was able to connect this MIDI keyboard to my ipad and use it for my kiddo to practice his Piano while travelling.excellent interface and very intuitive. Was able to connect very promptly and worked like a charm.i've also used it with my PC and OBS to program sound per key for my videos.Build quality is all plastic but feels very solid. It is not heavy which is a plus for lugging it around in a backpack.Felt like it can take a beating of travel.

The directions are misleading and there's no app for it. I believe this only works on midi channel 1. Wish the dial had more functionality. It's light and runs on rechargeable batteries.

Got this for my daughter as she just got an iPad Air 11" (2024-M2 model) and she's learning music. Connecting this to the iPad was so quick and simple. She uses this every day for hours on end. We recharge the keyboard like once every 3 or 4 days, and it doesn't take that long to charge. Using this with Garage Band, the lag between device and iPad is non existent. I would say this is like playing an actual, physical piano. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend this!

I am trying to get this working via the Bluetooth connection but so far have had no luck. The manual is very vague about how to get the Bluetooth working and so far I have not been able to find a solution to get any actual MIDI output from the Bluetooth.
