This product does work, but must be used continuously to keep drains clean, free of smell, and other. If you have a clogged drain already, you will have to clear it with a strong product, and then use this to prevent recurrence,

Not effective. Our master bath drains are pretty stinky and these do virtually nothing. Was hoping that enzymes or something would neutralize the bacteria in the drain in order to get rid of the smell, but they don't really do anything at all. I'm going to have to switch back to some little bleach tablets or something.

Your trap under your kitchen sink (the elbow) stays full of water; it is what separates the outside world from the nasty stink on the other side of the trap. If you have one sinkYou wash in and o other that mostly gets used for drying, that second sink likely has standing water at the trap. For many years I’ve dropped on of these in the drain every 10 days or so, and NO smell! Give them a try, this is half-the-price of the big-box stores!
